A lovely tranquil evening in Olvia

It's been so wonderful of late seeing all the colourful adventurers out and about.

From the scary to the sublime now it really does seem like there's a colour to suit all occasions.

I too have certainly enjoyed our enhanced colour palette, for regardless of activity now there is no excuse for not looking our best.

Caterpillars have ruined my flowers again

[RGB primary dyes; 115 109 159 Basic, 202 155 149 Calpheonian, 67 54 46 Basic, 204 176 142 Mediahn]

My first daily activity is often to check on my gardens. Like usual it is war declared on all caterpillars! The hungry little critters have a voracious appetite, and it looks likes this morning they've ruined a bunch of my Fire Flake Flowers overnight. Hungry little critters. I don't ever seem to see any butterflies though, how curious. In any event, into my pack they all go along with any overgrown twigs. Abelin appreciates the caterpillars for his fishing at the Velia docks, though "I don't hate you, but I don't like you either" he keeps proclaiming to me each day. I think though he does like me, he's just being a boy. The twigs are for Adrian to fashion a sword with. He's adamant it's the pirate life for him "I would rather become a pirate with a drifting soul than a farmer!" No following in his father's farming footsteps it seems. Good on you, Adrian, you make your own way in life.

I wonder if there is any gold in this bottled water

[RGB primary dyes; 161 231 234 Calpheonian, 142 128 138 Olvian, 142 142 117 Mediahn]

To grow hale and healthy herbs one must be sure to sprinkle fertilizer and keep the soil moisture just right. For the latter I find nothing works quite like purified water, so next stop is off to a lovely little spring to bottle some. It's wet work and I'm soon drenched from head to toe (I'm not the most eloquent bottler) but the day has begun lovely, warm, and clear so I don't mind at all. I'll just think of it as my morning bath. Sometimes when scooping up water - if lucky - one will find a fleck of gold or three. I wonder if I'll be so blessed this morning...

After the thrill of battle, time to relax and filter my bottled water

[RGB primary dyes; 226 194 227 Heidelian, 76 69 92 Heidelian, 69 31 69 Valencian, 130 130 130 Mediahn]

Bottling interupted! The serenity was pierced by an almight bellow. Bheg had appeared and no doubt had eyes for Daphne's farmhouse. Ironically his proclamation of defiance was also his undoing, for it was so boystrous he announced himself to the entire realm, and in short order plenty of brave adventurers rallied and fought him off. Daphne's farmhouse was safe again, for now. Soon enough the sounds of battle faded away and were replaced by those of the Balenos Forest; the bees buzzing about busy in their hives, the baby boars snuffling about in the earth looking for roots, the odd strange little goblins rustling about in leaves and digging behind bark for who-knows-what, sometimes even bear roar in the distance. All in all it was very tranquil and I took the opportunity to filter and purify some of my recently bottled water, enjoying the relative peace and quiet whilst it lasted. For surely Bheg would be soon to return.

Keeping warm in Keplan

[RGB primary dyes; 147 128 108 Mediahn, 173 159 143 Calpheonian, 205 112 142 Valencian, 236 163 123 Heelian, 46 71 86 Calpheonian]

Later in the day I find myself in Keplan. It is a grey, sad town, filled with a tragic history, of love, loss, regret and madness. But will not linger on the negatives. It's value as a mining centre cannot be disputed. My workers from all over travel here to stockpile materials, and I often too travel here to my store to refine the raw materials into their more processed forms. Today is one of those days. It can often be quite cold in Keplan, especially when the shadows grow, so any fire warmth is most welcome. But one should dress appropriately for the task, so long arm tassels are definitely out. Smelting ores and keeping warm, sounds like a win win to me, and a nice way to end the day.

A Subtle Entrance

The history of Calpheon, especially the Elion church, is as colourful as some of the adventurers' attire you see. I don't consider myself a religious person, but on this evening I thought I'd pay their service a visit, out of curiousity more than anything. I'll dress my coloured and conservative best and keep in the back corner, yes that will be smartest. It might be a nice opportunity to spy some church-goers in newly coloured attire. Unfortunately it seems the drab red robe is still in fashion, so no such luck. In some ways the service looks more like a cult than a church service. Strange folk. Oh well each to their own I suppose.

Thanks again, Merv!

[RGB primary dyes; 194 110 110 Keplanian, 54 33 54 Valencian, 130 130 130 Mediahn, 176 127 127 Calpheonian]

I slept the night in a small room in Calpheon I rent. More of a storage cupboard than a home, but big enough for a bed and a cooking stove. In the morning I was refreshed and ready for another days adventure, and with our new colour palette available everyday we can have an outfit that matches our mood and activity. After all, fashion and function are a marriage best not divorced. So with that in mind my first stop this morning was to someone special, Merv, the tailor that made all this possible. So thank you Merv, your efforts to vastly increase the number of dyes available to us all are greatly appreciated!
