On 10.11.21 they added the update that capped the numbers and changed the tiers on NA/EU which was detrimental for the guilds that just built alliances just 3 weeks ago.

On 11.11.21 they reverted the changes in Korea server . What was the point in adding it to NA/EU at all , are you not planning your updates prior to releasing them , shame.

Please at least if you want to do something  do it right and don't screw up.

Want to stick to capped nodes ? Make sure you have 25 cap , 40 cap , 50 cap , 60 cap , 75 cap and 100 cap at least.

 

Want to stick to non capped nodes ? Make alliances max 150 members ( 200 might be too much ) , decrease the numbers of nodes per region from 13 to 9 , decrease the number of nodes you can capture per guild from 10 to 6 , increase the pay from nodes by 50%.

 

There is no guild in this game (maybe only about 2 that don't want to fight each other) that can bring 100/100 members to 5 days/week , nor to 3 days for sure . Please consider that a lot of the players that do nodewars can't attend everyday.

Also fridays or the last day before siege is mandatory because if your guild doesn't attend that or if  it has bad attendance that day you can lose everything and can't participate in siege.

What I want is for Pearl Abyss to have a VISION, and discuss with us this vision, and help us to mold it and iterate on it together. We have guild leaders who've been node-warring for YEARS. They know how the systems worked. They know what causes guilds to thrive, rise, and die. They know why members don't log in, they know why members get excited for changes. They are in the thick of it and you need to talk to them.  

  

If you have a compelling vision of how Node Wars should work, then sell it to us! Convince us, persuade us! Explain to us that it will take time for guilds to adjust, for lines to be drawn in the sand of territories - talk to us and describe why your vision is the right vision, and why you honestly think the community will come around. Talk to us and explain that it's OK that we need 100 people to attend to have maximum power in war, because of some reason we don't realize. Talk to us and explain that it's OK that the participation caps are now limited to 50, which will be spread too thinly to actually defend mutiple nodes if we hold them, because of some reason we don't realize. What is your grand design? *Why* does your grand design work? Is it so fragile that you need to change it the moment you hear backlash? Why did you present such a fragile idea in the first place, or perhaps a better question, why did you not anticipate the backlash?    

If you are just proposing something you hope is innovative and you are going to wait to hear how we react -- then listen to us FIRST, before you iterate on your design. Hear about all the pitfalls and stresses of running a 100-man guild that cannot ever have anyone take a break. Hear about all the attrition from players who fear they now need to attend war 5 nights per week or else they are harming the guild. Hear about all the mergers and roster-purges and re-organizations the guilds in your community made in response to your changes... only for the change to change. Hear about T1 guilds in capped content, how their officer cores work tirelessly to recruit and train new players, these raw new players, mold them into PvPers, and then watch them get lucky gear and apply to a T2+ guild. Hear about T2 guilds that can only war 3 nights per week, trying to decide if they place in Calpheon and alienate half their guild who cannot attend Calpheon days, or place elsewhere and alienate the other half of their guild. Hear about how the seemingly only way to find decent fights is to get a friendly guild to conquer your forts uncontested, so you can freely drop on a guild you think is strong enough to defend against you, all the way across the world map. 

  

  

I don't know the solutions. But I think I also suspect that *you* don't know the solutions, either. That's fine, no one is perfect - but what we do have is time, and our words. Call a meeting of guild leaders, shot-callers - the real community leaders in the node war side of your game, and just start talking. Share ideas. Brainstorm. Talk enough, and surely we'll all figure it out together.

My suggestion to developers regarding nw design process:

Region locks are bad you need to figure out a way for a guild not to be forced to fight only in a single region - example - it is boring and limiting if T4 100 man is only Calpheon

Don't ruin the diversity of this game please. It was fun fighting on different locations in older nw system or visiting other regions with your guild. Also, your Player number caps are pretty steep jumps.

50 to 100 is pretty big leap you should do it more along the lines of 60/80/100 or consering the fact that no-one really can have 100% attendance on wars over longer period of time maybe even 60/75/90 and please dont put 10 mercenaries, but limit those to 3(preferably)/4/5 (but please not more because it will make it mandatory to get X 700+gs mercs).

Next issue - Having nw basically every day if you want to defend your won nodes is basically next to impossible for many many guilds. How do you build a node empire if you can't defend them every day due to people not being able to nw every single day? This should be looked into.

Siege + NW issue - it makes no sense that 100 man guild if they win Calpheon Siege is limited in which region they have to go to war next week. Lets say they have to go to T3 region Valencia or T4 50 Kamasylvia which is limited to 50 people... what does 50% of the guild do for the remainder of the week? This puts pressure on guild masters in restricting which part of the guild get to play the game for a week. it doesn't seem fair or fun for the players.

Also, your rewards for nodewar wins (and RBF)should be way higher for players. People make 600m-1billion silver per hour in some cases in elvia grind zones and pvp rewards compared to that are kinda a joke. You need to think of a good way to reward PvP tiers so that stronger guilds absolutely feel like going to lower tiers is waste of time and that lower guilds might feel the motivation to progress to get to higher tiers. Make a real carrot for players to chase and progress, at the moment all we have are bragging rights and a bit better nw shop than lower tiers.
