Awakening Wizard/Witch Mobility Ideas

I believe that if we do not get a split teleport on awakening Wizard/Witch that the following changes are needed.

 

1. Lower Teleport's cooldown by two seconds.

 

2. Allow us to use Teleport while its on coolddown. However while on cooldown it lacks its protection and has a moderate stamina cost.

 

Please give your thoughts and opinions.

For me I feel that we need one more mobility tool in order to be remotely relevant as casters in 1v1 scenarios.

 

I am aware of our new Skill "Elementalization", and I feel that it is thoroughly limited. Obviously that could change, but we will see as more improvements come to light.

we could use Flow: Magical evasion in awakening becoming I-frame instead of SA.

 

or maybe a second shaved off Teleport and its flow for awakening spec.

I fail to see why they do not finally give all Witchards split teleport and/or reduced cooldown.

You can nicely see it in the ongoin 3v3 arsha tournaments again. The awakening Witchards get focused first and die before they can do a single spell, because they are the least mobile class in the game and after teleport is out, they are free season.

 

Then look at Succession Witchards, who often put up wonderful fights. Because they are no 1 trick ponys.

Awakening Witchards need a massive overhaul in mobility. If they either had Succession Witch's magical evasion or Wizard's split teleport, it would already help a lot.

This is a requirement because Witch/Wizard in 1v1 situations essentially has limited defenses.  FG/SA/Q Block/SBlock essentially don't exist.  They are PVE ONLY protections.  If every grab is going to 100% ignore all of these defenses then they mean nothing.

 

Additionally, dealing with block/sa/fg needs to be dealt with.  These classes simply have no counter to this.  For those thinking you just break all blocks that's not at all how the game works in 1v1 situations.  In a group fight you can smash anyone and these issues are not really relevant.  However, in 1v1 it simply does not work.  It's defective.

I find it amusing they're nerfing guard. It's already unplayable with tamer in certain situation.

The only way to survive is to use limited iframe skills to get to point B, with the current mechanic(not to mention DR is buffed in RBF). Also, ranged class simply keeps moving backward. You run out of skills to iframe to even reach the target to point B & still get owned anyway in large scale. Also frontal guard is useless cause peeps surround you on the side to land a back attack at large range to CC you while to attack with it. If I use super armor it's instant death. Using grab protected super armor or unprotected. Still die anyway.

In 1v1 situation, awakening casters are too slow. Easy tap with one grab. Full combo down attack CC.

Playing caster in my perspective is pretty much scrub mechanic in a nutshell. Just disrupt others fighting. No interaction whatsoever. PA managed to makes it possible with Ranger & Archer to have interacting fight in 1v1 & large scale. Casters, not so much....

I still hold that Split tp would be too strong on awakening. TP is such an iframe, it's really not comparable to anything, not even Guardian's phoenix. 

 

They should instead look at elementalization and try and make it relevant. As of now it is a dead on arrival locked skill, as it's input also interferes with S block -> teleport... besides being a useless skill in all regards even when functioning properly.

 

Allowing teleport to cancel awakening skills like in pre-awakening, would be a less drastic but all the same powerful change.

imho split tp would be a bit over the top and it would bring alot of hate from other classes.

 

but Iframe on Flow: Magical evasion or even partial Iframe>SA on it or Elementalization would do wonders for the class.
