Well written but I have to disappoint you nothing will be changed too bad that devs don't play their game. That will be the changes no matter what we think they waited too much time now they will look for profit don't know how much they will get with that failed rework we will see.

 

For those that are here since the start remember that we were getting a big balance patch every 2/3 weeks so all the "rework" is max 2 months of work in the 20216/2017 period, this should tell you enough.

 

For sure that rework didn't reach the first target so they made 360 turn and the last target is PvE with later PvP changes its always like that we wait for that PvP part since the failed patch in 2018 .... soon ... and here we go its almost 2022 ... soon­­™, now we wait for ranked arena and then eventually PvP changes ...

 

They have missed big opportunities for good changes I would remove all kinds of slows and vacuum in PvP, slows just as an option in add- ons only with more add-ons to get if necessary. The value of addons as 10% max is enough that no need that cancer stacked mech in slows and PvP vacuums are cancer since they have been added 2016-2017 there wasn't this kind of mechanics and was better.

 

As of Tamers well if the new class is "male Tamer" Wukong or so well you know  ... no wonder  ...

please consider revreting the grounding of throat brun.
it destorys soaring arts tamer playstyle to have that skill grounded

My first impression.

 

I did about 45min of messing around moving with the class. It's easy & more simple to understand the movement. This is good.

 

After I did about an hour of Red Battlefield. I realized how bad is the character in large scale battle. Peeps just keep fire projectile or hit you until you have no armor. 

 

The class is tuned so bad against other classes in group fight. Her movement range is so short that I believe I wouldn't even make it if had all my skill kit protected with both super armor and guard. It's either, I get CC cause my guard is depleted or I run away with super armor & die from back attack. Even my first group of invincible skill, I am still in their range to receive a large amount of offensive attack.

I have to disagree with everyone on here... I'm a Tamer main since the release of the game and I've been having a ton of fun since the rework. I thought I wouldn't like many of the changes but I do, the class feels even more dynamic now. Even riding on Heilang is viable in PvE, though it depends on the grinding spot. I have to say though I mostly tried the changes to Succession so far, so I'm not yet 100% sure about Awakening.

So, after dozens of hours of PvP in Battle Arena and Red Battlefield in Awakening stance since the reboot, here is my feedback :

 

In the past I've always enjoyed playing tamer in PvP (probably a bit less since the successions release tho, but still). This is the aspect of the game I enjoy the most and spent hundreds (probably thousands ? I don't keep track of it) of hours in Battle Arena, Red Battlefield (75k RBF score) and I almost only grind on arsha to make the grind funnier. So I think I can assume I have experience and knowledge about the class even tho I may not be the most skilled or geared one.

 

To be honest, I don't actually feel any change in the awakening gameplay in PvP. The skills to use are the same, the class is still very squishy but even more since a lot of buffs occured for other classes, so you have even less opportunities to do anything. 

 

The Heilang mechanics could have been good. I thought the speed up would have been great so you don't need a unicorn to run in the desert but turns out it's slower than a slowed down T8. Although, thinking that Heilang PvP could have been a thing when you can just get one shot by an arrow from miles away is probably a mistake.

 

Also Heilang damage is completely bugged, it doesn't deal any damage in PvP and in PvE, even against lvl 20 areas with 301ap Kutum and the void lighting casts only once every 5 times.

 

The only noticeable change is the nerf of our pre-awakening i-frame (Tree climb) that got shortened and the modification of some animations in awakening.

 

In PvP, you don't use the new skill since the skills we already have are enough to kill in 1v1 and do more damage, and in group fights you won't really use it because you'll most likely die because of the lock-anim and it's unprotected, unless you do it in a corner where there's no one else but then you wouldn't use it because there's no one else. So instead you just go in, use Beast Rampage, get your Forward Guard depleted, go out and wait for the pots to heal the 3k hp you lost from a lost bullet.

 

Maybe the goal of this reboot for tamer was only pve-wise ? But what's the point when you can just tag a succession lahn and do twice as much money on the same spot with same gear.

 

This is a bit of a salty post, but I was waiting so much from this reboot with all of the efforts of the community to see that none got heard or taken in account... It will just never be a viable class in group PvP, and is probably even worse than it was before reboot. Which is a sad thing because the class is so fun to play. It just lacks so much of plenty of things that got pointed out by a lot of other tamers (who gathered information themselves among a lot of other tamers through the class discord) on this forum but it's probably not even read... :pepeshrug:

Welp came back from my dirt nap. Saw the changes...tested the changes...review the changes compared to my old footage. (Including riding heilang pve)...

(was a long detailed essay about the changes but i shortend it into a rant with bullet points since no ones actually gonna read it...why am I even here)

-Heilang does no damage.

-Riding heilang does actually LESS damage overall for actuall grinding (in higher tier spots like Stars end and up). You cant heal as much through heilangs skills anymore due to Hard Locked CDs which is also makes sure you do less damage overall.

-Heilang CC is glitchy, randomly stops, and is just plain worse than before. I was all for making Roaring 10 sec CD that didnt CC on CD in succ...but not for lowering its protection time unless it meant that we got other means of protecting ourself instead of roar spamming...instead you...

-No more lingering Tree Climb...is like taking away the ability to teleport with Block Jump but leaving the stiff there...totally useless.

-Throat Burn..nice damage..but the animation is pretty long...

-Now that Heilang follow up on tide no longer CC on CD...can we have some sort of way to control what CC he actually does...Why would i want use a move tatically that not even I can predict what my partner is going to do...WHILE knowing I have to way 10+ secs to play the lottery again...mmm this sounds familar *stares at the W key* nope doesnt rang a bell.

-Tamer the only class that i can think of in succ that cant dodge/iframe in all directions...we are stuck with tank controls movement.

-Tamer is the only class without ANY movement speed/attack speed buffs in our kit attached to moves (not counting E buffs)

-Tamer after EVERY SINGLE REWORK has a broken summon/less damage. (this happen with awakening, first reworks where they took away everyone protections in awakening, and now we have this rework)

I gotta add to my last post:

I tried Awa the last few days and like Shiga, I don't notice much of a difference. I think Succ is WAY better atm than Awa. Heilang on Awa is pretty much useless, while on Succ he does serious damage. Succ feels dynamic, fast and strong, while in comparison Awa now almost feels a bit clunky.

I have been playing the game since its release or almost, I have always played tamer, even if it happens to me to play other the tamer has always been my main and of heart, and honestly, the only thing that I want to do it is to suppress my tamer ...., 1st thing You have completely destroyed the atipyque and unique gameplay that the tamer has by removing on the one hand the possibility of making soaring art and making other changes on spells that absolutely do not need it, on the other hand by giving way too much to the other in relation to what the tamer received, seriously "being able to re heilang" Wow that's really what we miss ..... the only time I really need to go up on heilang it is not to fight in pve or pvp, because to get along with it I think that even against a fault boss I could die while fighting on heilang ... to say .. no no the only times or I climb above it is to jump from a mountain without taking any damage .... I'm really disappointed and I don't think I'm the only one, give back on the one hand the soaring art, on the other hand give us changes that could make the difference, or just give us back our tamer from before ... at least we have fun
