Millions of alts will be without armor or weapons after maintenance.

I really hope PA isn't just going to kick sand in our face and tell us to deal with it.

Idea:

- Every character can earn a full set of Narchillan gear. Along with quest accessories, that will be enough to get folks into the very early endgame but nowhere NEAR anything harder so all you "Quit crying and earn your place" elitists- lighten up.

My fear is that folks that were happy romping around in Oasis gear while slowly upgrading will have no ambition to regear and just quit. Me being one of them.

When I began the game, long before Oasis event was existing, I had to progress in the usual way by gearing up. Either by enhancing my own gear or spending my own silver on the MP. I had more than enough black stones, so I've decided to put them to good use. When it came out, albeit I took only 3 weapon boxes I didn't even need Oasis gear(and I still keep my old weapons!). That's how it turned out.

If I can progress, when it comes to gearing up, so do you. Those that want to stay, even if Oasis goes away can stay. For those that don't... Well... It's their choice. Even I wanted everything given to me on a platter, but I was thaught I won't get it.

Peace.

We became too spoiled thanks to the Oasis event.

To be honest, I'm glad it ends. It's better to have to play the game to progress, rather than having the progression handed to you for zero effort, thanks to Oasis gear.

Cron meals are the only thing I really didn't like, even before the Oasis event. The state the game is in now, you need to get yourself a whole array of different kind of buffs before you grind or pvp that it feels more like a chore than actual gameplay. Church buffs, cron meals, tent buff, alchemy stone, loot scrolls, agris fever, pets, heidel crit buff, draughts, perfumes... there's way too much you have to think of before you can even start to grind or pvp. I'd love to see this changed or improved.

The free compass is something I'm glad to see removed, as well as the desert buff protections. Part of what the desert made really feel like a desert is the exhaustion your character experiences, and the ease of getting lost in there. It's far from convenient, but at least it added flavour to the desert part of the game.

And about the free carrots... those were dirt cheap anyways, so I see no problem here.

Saddly the truth. What I wanted to say exactly.

Btw. Green gear is easy to get from the MP-easily affordable and good for starters.

I am also in agreement that Oasis ending is a good thing, as well as the player base becoming too spoiled in general.

Well, the solution to the alts being gearless would be to naturally gear them up!

This is one of the many ways you can do it. Or invest in a boss gear currently plentiful available for sale on the MP. It's not like people are lacking in silver these days with the whole trend of "earn more, spend less!" which can no longer be affordable after the 24th as that very mindset will now hinder anybody to progress. It was only possible because of Oasis. Now you must spend silver on buffs or make them yourself, which will cost silver in some way.

Oh, and, slightly unrelated to the topic, but for the Valencia debuffs you may want to have a fairy that automatically uses the items to recover in the desert. If you barter, you can also buy a 7 days compass. Or grind it. Make your own for 3 days. Should help with gearing up a bit.

Enjoy!

I am sick and tired of you "old timers" telling us how it used to be.  Those of us that are new have been playing the game a bit different from you.  OK.  We know how it used to be because you won't shut up about it.  And guess what IT STILL SUCKS!

Imaginary quote from an "Old Timer" WoW player:
"Well i remember back in my day we didn't even have flying mounts.  we walked all over Azeroth until we were level 40.  Didn't get flying mounts till level 70.  Man all these new comers are getting spoonfed!!"

This is you "Old Timers".  Guess what SHIT does change from now and again.  Why don't YOU deal with it.

Quite frankly, oasis gear should NEVER have been a thing.

I'm just waiting for the kutum, first boss (in EU) after maintenance.

It will be huge disaster.

Today changed asula and trent for main acc to high up alt char ap when oasis will disappear. Nouver hit me now twice as much. So when I lose oasis: welcome to "old story": 2 hits from wb and dead, so no sense to fight, jusk afk and waiting for drop despawn.

They can keep everything. However with desert debuffs comeback and happening every 20 seconds. Oof new buffed Valencia grind zones might not get used as much anymore. It was the single thing that convinced me grinding in the desert was not worth it.

Everything else that will happen tomarrow is meh.
