So I signed up for 2 factor authentication for the extra 5% drop rate buff.  But forcing me to have my phone with me every time I log in to the game is annoying.  And I can life skill all day on lap top while at work.  And if I forget my phone at home?  Super annoying.  No OTP code.  No log in. 

My question is, how can you install Google authenticator on your PC, so that you aren't obligated to have your phone with you when you play BDO?

To be honest, I mostly lifeskill.  The 5% drop rate buff is not worth the hassle. Give me 5% increase on bartering and worker empire and crate turn ins and cooking and enhancing for profit and I'll deal the annoyance.

Incoming argument "oh but what if u got hacked" well let me tell you if your pc is remotely hacked into, you should have more stuff to worry than your BDO account and who tf who can remotely hack ur pc will be like "omg he got a bdo account? Lets login and delete all the items. We can worry about getting the financials data later after we sell his PENs"

if don't mind using a custom launcher, here is one(click-me) that makes your life easier on login, supports automatic login even if you have OTP (your password and OTP are stored locally and are encrypted), another thing is that you still have to manually patch the game every Wednesday via the official game launcher, other than that it's pretty convenient not having to constantly put in my password and OTP every time you want to start the game.

if you do want just an easier way to access your OTP, install authy on your phone or use their desktop client, they do also have a chrome app that's outdated but it's still useable, but if your code expires you must close the app and relaunch (only applies to the chrome version)

Someone in another thread mentioned Authy.  It has a Windows client.

That would probably be less hassle than running Bluestacks unless you're already running Bluestacks for another reason, as you have to wait for Bluestacks to boot up and it uses several GB of disk space.

Custom launcher sounds like a nice option, but I don't know how PA feels about it - I'd assume they'd frown upon that.

The old moon treaty token tooltip says resister your additional security setting "OTP or PC" to gain an additional 5% buff. So it seems broken not getting the buff after registering your PC. Overkill that you would need to do both.

the custom launcher supports copy and paste for OTP code, and enter key for login, on top it also has password saving. the only thing that it doesn't have is an integration with the OTP apps, hopefully, it will get it in the future

People who say 2FA is garbage, don't come running back when your poor password gets hacked and you loose your account. I can put up with the minor inconvenience of having my phone near by me (who does not do this in 2021?)

I never came back running when Kakao was on control and we rarely hear ppl say "oh my account got hacked"

OTP? One week in and so many people complaining about cannot accessing account because changed phone etc

Solution? Send ticket......which they have 25k ticket overdue
