I'm not convinced of this at all.  In fact I believe you are small potatoes and nearly meaningless in the larger picture.  If BDO had fixed it issues and ran a better business model they could potentially have millions of paying customers.  Something YOU CAN'T compete with.

P2W garbage is for low level games that have no chance of being successful and must rely on a smaller crowd to fund them.

I'm guessing over the last year I've spent $400 or $500 to BDO on outfits for my dozen characters. I'm okay with that because I love the game, and although I paid $10 to buy it a year ago, I don't mind supporting the developers so long as I don't have to participate in pay to win. I haven't spent any money on things which require success, just on things I think give joy.

I also play Red Dead Online, GTA Online, Dead By Daylight and some other games every day. They each fit a different niche.

RDO is designed such that you can have maximum pvp power within a few months, and after that you're on even footing with everyone no matter what. There's never a case in RDO where I get attacked by someone stronger than me. There simply isn't anyone stronger. The game is designed that way. You don't have to pay to win. You're rewarded by just playing regularly.

GTA Online likewise is designed such that you can get vehicles that counter vehicles which might attack you. It's rock paper scissors, not a case like BDO where people can actually be stronger than you. I've got nearly every type of vehicle in the game for GTAO and have been that way for ages. It did not require pay to win to get that. In fact, I win a nice vehicle on the roulette wheel on average every two or three weeks in GTAO, free.

Dead By Daylight likewise sells outfits for money if you want them, but most of those you can also get with in game earnings if you play a lot. So they support both ways. I personally don't mind spending money on outfits.

I don't really like that BDO has a soft cap in power making it so that a few people who either have powerful guilds or who played years longer than me can be stronger than someone who played every day for a year. I don't like it, but I'm not forced to pay money to play BDO. I buy outfits, and I live within the soft cap.

(Though I did today start the Blackstar Awakening quest--not sure if I'll successfully get one of those to TET. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, but I don't need to and won't spend money to win. Just because somebody is stronger than me in BDO doesn't mean they won. I can have fun just playing. And I'll continue to have RDO and GTAO and DbD where there's no softcap on pvp power and where playing regularly puts you on even footing with all other players.)

Its because BDO is a gotcha game at it core. If you look at every game design chooses with every pearl shop change you noticed a pattern. An that pattern is the game design resolves around the pearl shop not the pearl shop reolving around the game design. New zone comes out poof tones of sales on loot scroll packs, new character is released outfit sales, inventory, weight, horse whistle sales, etc, game expands on the fair system poof more cash shop items that affect the fairy, add new horse racing content poof suddenly there mount training scrolls being sold in the fresh finds tab. New piece of gear added to the game artian sales, enchancment bundles, and crystal extraction tool sales to go with it.

It how this game has always been and sadly it only gotten worse over time not better. Now most of these things don't dractily affect gameplay thankfully but man when they added outfit melting them whales went right from Tri to almost full PEN in a day when that shit happen. That really fucked up the power gap in the game big time. An the lastest shit were this game desperately needs class balance issues addressed and solved nope that too much work for PA easier to just shit out new classes and encourage character bound item sales thus completely destroying any form of balance and any way to balance the game forever. Telling you this shit won't ever get better it will increasely get worse and worse like it always has.

Hate the player, not the game.

Also trust me even if you spend 10 000 you will get owned by vets in top grind spots especially if they have right class.

This game is mostly about gear and none skill. Example you think players like Choice are good? No dude he is just full eva with 400+ dp. He would have zero chance

Yeah, despite being massivly over priced, outfits still fly off the shelf 

yet new outfit content is one of the most neglected content in the game despite it likely being the biggest revenue 

and it scales too, make more (good) outfits and more people with buy more 

i havnt bought an outfit in almost a year since nothing good has come yet since and i'd easily buy several every single week if they were good, even if i never wear them 

I hate the fact that the cash shop is such a huge moneymaker that people somehow continue to spend money on it regardless of overpriced things are or have become. The game is mostly a store at this point where real and actual content peaks at a new grind zone where we do the same thing over and over again. Meanwhile, content that could break the monotony pretty much becomes non-existent.

At the same time, I can't really blame pearl abyss. If people want to spend a stupid amount of money to buy progress in the game instead of holding out so developers can make actual meaningful content, by all means, let these people be milked to the nines. I would even bring the buckets if asked. Pearl abyss has already refined the milking process to creating a new class every season. So we should have like 999999999 classes by the next year or so; enjoy whales and the like.

It's the same in every "free to play" game. 

World of Warships do the same, milking the whales who don't care about the bill hard.

$90 pixel boats, lootcrates that give you a chance for having a techtree ship 1-2 months before it will be added, events where you cannot grind enough ingame tokens, so either your effort was for nothing or you buy those in the store. Some of those events needed you to grind 2-3 hours per day. They have $200 bundles that are bought by a the whales at day one. 

So, BDO isn't the only one with absurd prices. As long as the whales pay, this will not change.

for some players this game is part of a psychological treatment, in some cases it sells them a fake feeling of sucess in exchange for their money in other cases its just idiots with lots of money, in any case just bearit until "project BBQ" releases and then e can move to a better pllace :)

yeah because accepting thefact that you have the strenght of will of a 15 years old is too much to bear isnt it? you spend because you want to spend, not because you want to help anyone, is not an act of kindness, is not a tax, is utter lack of self control, but hey at least you are aware that you are psychologically fooling yourself, that is a start.

if that was accurate the game developers wouldnt need to psychologically coerce people into spending by implementing artificially created inconveniences, what you mention is only the psychological justification people use to not feel guilty about supporting a system they subconsciously know its abusive, they are playing with our psichology and many of us apparently dont have the dignity to even care, let alone to stop supporting such a system.
