Love those Witch Awakening skills I got at Level 56, seem much more powerful than pre-56 skills. Now the Armstrong Skill Guide says its only good for one day and I am never going to get from (very early) level 56 to Level 57 in one day. Does Black Desert really expect people to attain the next level within a day? Or do people wait till they are Level 57 to get Awakening? How will I reskill when I lose the Armstrong Skill Guide?

You most definitely can get from 56 to 57 in less than a day. Maybe even less than 2 hours, if you're willing to dedicate an hour to questing after you've gotten the chenga time. That is only if you wish to do that though.

I have a full-time job, community and family commitments. I play the game on my schedule. If Black Desert demands I play on their schedule they are not being very considerate of customer's time.

This doesn't really matter now, when it will be useful is when you play a 2nd character and get THAT character to 56, then you put it in the storage and take it out with your main. You main at that time will be over 56 and can then use the tool.
Getting to 56 takes ~ 45 minutes maybe an hour if you know what you are doing once you have gear. Prior to the Secret book of old moon, I used to roll a new alt if I ever wanted to respec.
All with Chenga tome.
56-57 = Valencia main first half. 2 hours.
57-58 = Valencia main second half. 4-5 hours.
58-59 = Calpheon (in city) quests and Refugee Camp. 2-3 hours.
59-61 = Kamasylvia, Drieghan, Stars Ends quests. 10-15 hours.
Isn't the reason you can't use the Armstrongs at 56 because you can change your skills for free until you are 57? You don't need it to reset right now.
I usually just leave the quest unaccepted until I'm ready to fiddle with skills on a character.
And IIRC, once you activate the skill guide, it's a family-wide buff like the value pack or Kama Blessing

You cannot change skills at 56 - I tried clicking on the reset button. I have encountered quest givers who will not talk to you or offer a quest if you are not the right level. Wish the Armstrong quest would be done that way too meaning it is out of reach till 57. I may not have been paying attention when I accepted it - perhaps there is a warning.

That's very odd. I tried resetting skills on the character I'm currently on (who's level 60) and it said "You can reset skills at any time if you are below level 57 or if you are using Armstrong's Skill Guide", so something is not right.
They specifically increased the level until when you could swap skills for free until AFTER the awakening/succession quests were over, so something is bugged in your case.

As a beginner I have to trust more knowledgeable people such as you who respond. I was not hitting the correct buttons/icons and did indeed find I could reset my skill points at lev 56. So, great! Therefore it really does not matter that I lost Armstrong's skill Guide at lev 56 in 24 hours. One thing confusing me is the BDO Wiki/Adventurer's Board says 'Characters under Level 56 can freely reset all learned skills. . .' Why does that say 'under Level 56'?

Tool tip error, around this time last year they changed it from 55 to 56 to be freely able to respec. IMO it should be 60 and under since you don't get all your skills until 60, but here we are.
