im taking a moment after this ams patch launch to leave my opinion about the newly released classes and its poorly thought out rush job.
first off, these were NOT reworks, they were buffs and nerfs, as no real core mechanics changed other than how fast you move or how hard you hit, or whether your abilities had super armor or not. I definitely do not feel as though anything physical changed in my eyes other than numbers which leads me to feeling like it was 6 months of buffs and not reworks.....which is ok.....if you told us that....which you didnt
anyways, the fact that you buffed the games most popular classes up the wazoo while leaving underperforming classes alone is pretty fail in most your playerbases eyes. example...striker, lahn, warrior, sorc, ninja..... all now 1 combo you instead of 3 combo. thats fun. we spend 2 years of our lives building our DP to 370 to get one shotted/half comboed by a pleb that just hit 269 ap with a reworked in 2 months. sick.
But seriously..... the damage numbers you buffed these classes to....are disqusting.... absolutely attrocious even to say.
Some damage numbers went from 600% damage to 1300% damage!!!.... was double the damage not enough for that ability or something? lol. atm the damage numbers are so high, theres no point in pvp cause theres no fight...and no fight = no balance. no balance = no pvp = no endgame for BDO. Great for noobs, but a big hit to endgamers content as the dp you now need is unreachable beyond a point that you can actually attain. Killing someone in 1 hit is fun but dying in 1 hit ruins the experience cause you realize theres no DP number you can reach to change this fact at the games current meta.
if you actually played the reworked classes and took a moment to match them vs your newer classes youll soon realize after just a few minutes.....you really borked the damage numbers and made the new classes almost irrelevent now. take any "new class" and trade supers with a rework and the rework may not even take damage all while almost one shotting you in return. use 2 reworks vs eachother and you got a better balance but you took the lazy mans route and only balanced a select few classes around eachother... which was "the more popular classes" and then left all the rest of bdo to just deal with being in the minor leagues.
I dont think this is something thats gonna stay.... in fact... i personally see ALOT of balance patches coming these next few weeks as i guess this is a present to the BDO community...."HERE! have some free superpowers for a couple weeks". I mean theres no way the devs dont see this as a problem already, nobody is that oblivious to their problems are they?
Just so you devs know. i dont want a buff to the non reworked classes even though thats what i play as. I want balance. it wasnt there before and it definitely isnt there now.
Ping Pong is a tabletop game and not meant to be how a developers roadmap plays out with its players.
Honestly Im not mad that yall make these mistakes but this particular one has me not wanting to play my class because it wasnt one of your faves. Its easilly seen which classes
you all enjoyed working on vs the ones you were forced to work on. very sad, very disappointing, not sure ill quit cause of all this but i know quite a few that rage quit this am
due to their 370+ dp classes getting one comboed by others 50+ gearscore below them. i dont mind losing to someone below me but 1 comboed without back attacks had me rollin. I REeeaaalllly hope this isnt PAs vision for the game as its a sad sad sad sad day for BDO players that were not the "advertised" popular classes
A strange direction they have taken is to continuously boost damages, movement/animation speeds, SA/FG/iframes, and RNG resists, which leads to faster and increasingly random/less predictable and less skill-dependent PvP kills/outcomes at end game, since AP scales disproportionately compared to DP.
If the game engine cannot handle certain combat/FPS functions/desync properly, the logical approach should be to decrease damage, attack/movement speed, and RNG/desync-sensitive mechanics to reduce the overall tempo of combat to free up more room for player input to determine the outcomes, instead of adding more mechanisms that lead to random CCs/desync/AP monkey one-shots in PvP. This is perhaps the reason why season server/capped NW PvP remains more enjoyable than end game one-shot fests, paradoxically, making the game less and less enjoyable as you and your opponents' gear progresses into end game.
Its springs 2018 all over against, infinished change just for the sake of change.
Its not balance, just Meta Shifting.
Shocking, if only we could've foresee this!!!
The problem with this dev team.
Is they let the 1% make the decisions. The 23 year old boys who do nothing but node war and pvp.
The ones who know nothing of balance and just want their class to be OP.
Now this game is Musa online, other class can go to hell
Welcome new classes in real PvP.
But now even Shai can pvp. So why you crying? Because the period of stup inviolability is over?
