I'm curious how the transition is for everyone who just started Black Desert and is seeing all this transfer information all of a sudden. I've seen so many people misinformed in Olvia chats thinking it's something like a developer swap instead of BDO becoming self-published. Crazy rewards being given to everyone too, so hoping new players take advantage of this boost.

Not surprising people spread the same false information when Trion stop being the publisher for Archeage and gamigo took over publishing rights. People don't seem to understand that the publisher for the game isn't always the developer for the game as well. I also remember people blaming Trion for all the reason Archeage failed but those were also false. XL Games was the one that ruined Archeage not it publisher Trion (thus the reason the game only got worse even after Trion was gone not better). So as for PA taking over and self publishing don't expect the game to suddenly start magically improving. While I do have some hope things will get better for this game within this year since they have new a lead developer and are now self publishing and are changing how they handle customer support and feedback. I'm also skeptical that things will just stay the same or even get worse. So let hope our feedback is finally taken seriously and the devs finally improve the game for the better of everyone not just to better their own wallets. But at the same time let also not forget same managment just with a different name.
