Defensive stats (DP, HP, etc) need to scale better relative to Damage stats...especially after reworks (long standing issue with power creep)

As many have already noted, after the reworks, many classes saw an across the board increase to damage output which has been great for pve but of course spills over into pvp.

 

While a lot of the changes in the reworks have been great in my opinion (making grabs longer CD, smaller hitboxes, no protection if they miss) (smoother class gameplay for a lot of classes) the steady climb of offensive stats like AP and how they scale damage output is once again outpacing defensive stats. This has been a creeping issue for a while but its getting to the point that when a player progresses their gear close to hardcap, each extra bit of defensive stat they gain becomes increasingly meaningless relative to the damage output available to classes in that similar gearscore range. 

 

In my opinion, for an evenly geared opponent, you should be able to just barely, in a worst case scenario, be able to survive a full combo (maybe not in all, but most cases). This would at least allow a chance for a combeback or force the opponent to potentially expose themselves as they scramble to finish you off. To me this would seem to be a more interesting scenario instead of the often prevailing 1 shot meta.

 

Hopefully the new "Artifact" slots can remedy this buy giving access to greater HP pools etc but overall there needs to be a better defensive stat return at the higher end relative to AP. Either better DR scaling, larger HP pools accessible from gear etc, or an across the board toning down of pvp damage to a modest degree.

Many players, myself included have been complaining that time to kill is too quick.  For some reason PA decided that with players saying that DP/HP means nothing and that time to kill is too short that they would buff damage making Time To Kill even quicker.  I actually don't understand it.
