Is there noone working at the company that tests these out?

The controls are BAD. Same as the house of horrors crap. Same as the look dont look minigame during haloween.

Has someone honestly sat down for it for more than 2 minutes and said "hey this is fun lets release it!"

Would legit want to see a PA employee try to get 4 of each and see their reaction while they do it.

Are you seriously ask it, after they are so disconnected from the reality that they waste time on mass implementing mini games inside a game?

Like surely they should not improve the game called Black Desert Online, instead add AIDS minigames, so to cover the emptyness of the main game?

I didn't try the fishing event, but the controls in the Halloween event were not bad, players were only complaining because they couldn't succeed right from the start.

So this comparison... 

I did the event (im not comparing to halloween) and indeed the controls and execution are horrid. Sure you get the hang of it after a few tries but even then the fish will sometimes sink to the bottom or goes to the surface very fast on occasion and you cannot do anything about it. Really poorly done. They just should have used the regular fishing mini game.

Agreed. This is just pathetic, I tried it 10 times and just gave up. It's impossible for some, clearly family RNG can come into play as every time near the last few seconds my fist darts to the top or bottom and I can't spin fast enough to counter it. Finding out I need more than 1 and I can't even get 1, I'm not interested. Like Mysteries of Summer, it was simply a data mine fest and no one enjoyed it.

Not only is this mini-game horrendously bad (if you worked on this you should be ashamed of yourselves) but did PA actually look around the office and find a team of people who have never in their life been fishing? Letting line out allows the fish to swim AWAY from you, letting line out doesn't push a fish down. We have to get them out of the water, not hovered in the middle of the water, that isn't how you catch a fish, EVER.

100%, unless you are a whaleshark being called a baby humpback whale, you do not catch fish underwater.

EDIT: I've been able to catch fish by changing servers. Every time I was fishing the fish darted up or down at the end and no amount of spinning helped, he was determined to fail me, this happened 20 times in a row. Swapping servers, I've gotten 2 in a row without them darting at the end. I feel some RNG roll happens when you load in and if you have a bad time, change servers for a new roll. Might be tinfoil but going from 100% losing to 100% wins is hard to ignore.

They WERE bad. The pumpkin jack was horrible at switching directions and the horse minigame instantly kicking you out of the robot were annoying as hell

I may be biased because I don't like minigames, but decided to try it to see how bad it is.  I agree, it's pretty bad.  Even after having read the event page, took me maybe 15 tries to really get the hang of it.

Unless I'm missing something, it's a completely pointless event.  I burned all 30-tries and didn't get a single 10M fish, so it seems to be a very rare drop which isn't worth the time and suffering of the minigame.  The alpaca pet is temporary, so it's completely pointless.  Even if it weren't temporary, it's ridiculously slow so I'd never use it as a serious mount anyway.  I think donkeys are faster.  Could have been cool, if it were permanent and fast enough to be a viable alternative to a horse.

They were not bad.

The jack was going wherever you wanted, only the random ghost was potentially a threat. 

Red light, green light was also easy with the sound on, you simply had to stop moving right before she stopped singing. And she was singing the exact same "words", but a different speed. 

Clearly a pebkac situation.

Sure. It does not change the fact that it's a pebkac situation. If one failed these halloween events, that means he didn't seriously tried. But surprisingly, he didn't forget to blame the controls, right?
