Season Servers are the best way to play BDO. Certainly if you life skill. I'm sick of Red Players killing Horse Trainers. Just make PVE servers and be done with it. Let the people who enjoy killing random people have their own little Arkham Asylum to play on and leave the rest of us alone. You already said you are offering these types of players ZERO new content and have no plans to empower them by making the karma system less brutal for their bad behavior. So stick them all on Arsha & get it over with!

Stop allowing this destructive behavior. They don’t want Karma free PVP or they would play on Arsha no they want to kill random players because they get off on it. END IT!

More then likely they will not be making PvE servers. Until their game reach a crictically low player count. So my best advice to you. Is to give up all hope, and play something else that won't feed you to griefers. If you don't want to be bothered by them. These Dev team stated multiply times that a PvE server is not in their vision of BDO.

If you lifeskill, you already have a safe way to do any activity related to it so...

Not really. Not in an immersive way. The MMO experience is tainted by the fact you can't Life Skill & Combat on the same character because when you do you just end up dealing with (insert insult) types of people. Now as an experienced player I know where you can & cant life skill and why you should never REALLY life skill on a character over level 49. But conser this why? Because a small minority of players are crazy & enjoy ruining the experience for all. The devs have to hold them on a leash and say well you can't kill them yet. So, you have to learn right away before ANY investment (or money) is made into a character is it Life Skill Character or a Combat Character because of a minority of scumbags.  If you learn that lesson late well you can PAY PA to rectify the situation. Wow how generous of them :|

Then when season players want to explore a character, well you can’t exactly awaken a Character and get it to level 61 or 62 if you want to have it life skill so whats the point in being on a Season Life Skiller. So, you can PAY to switch everything you did during the season to a low level Life Skill alt?

It’s a really, really, bad system. One that has everything to do with bad players & the fact that Combat Zones are not limited to JUST grind zones. If open world PVP (nonconsensual) was only in Combat Zones then people who want to justify being able to PK for grind spots would have an argument but that’s not my position. Im talking Fishing, people riding around on Horses, etc there is NO POINT in allowing players to straight up murder afk players. That’s not PVP.

Hence why Season is the BEST way to play BDO, unfortunately, unless you are richy rich it’s not a good time for life skillers because when the Season ends you are SOL and fed to BAD players. I guess they could end every season giving everyone Free Life Skill changes for every Life Skill and say, 'yeah sorry the main servers aren’t for doing any of this with your new level 61 62 character' As it stands it's certainly not new player friendly and has annoyed me for YEARS. It put's your charcater in a box because of a handful of people who ruin it for all.

So it goes beyond the idea of pure lifeskilling. Well, if you talk about immersion, I personally find it more immersive to feel the potential threat of other players. I mean, our characters are able to do crazy combat things, but they would be unable to hit each other? And still, we could talk about safe zones...

That's the limit, no game can be completely immersive without opening the way to many abuses. So immersion has to be sometimes sacrificed for the sake of the game itself.

In BDO, in your case this will force you to lifeskill on a lvl 49 character to be fully protected, for others it will force them to watch their opponent becoming non targetable when they enter a safe area.

But in BDO, if you want to do some high level pve, you also have to accept the potential threat of owpvp. And given the various things devs tried on glab (Sheriff/ infamy system, increased one sided war costs but can be used against any guild) and their words during CalpheON Ball, I'd make a wild guess and say that they don't plan to give a full and permanent pve experience.

The Karma system has never punished players enough in my opinion. You kill someone IRL you go to jail for 10+ years. I'd be much more satisfied if they had their entire account in Jail for 10 days for killing players outse of grind spots. If you want to do the crime be ready to pay the time, with your account. The risk reward doesn't punish these people ENOUGH. (Then no one would do it, exactly that's the point, murder is wrong. You get Evil Karma for being Evil for a reason.)

When you kill people IRL, they don't resurect.

If someone of your family has comited homicide, that doesn't mean that you are a murdrer too.

If we go that route and and use IRL moral points as arguments, then every player that has ever been on a grind spot is potentially a genocial maniac. How many thousands, millions of living sentient beings, minding their own business according to the lore , have been killed in PVE ?

Inoperative comparisons with IRL are just ... Inoperative.

Well, I'm totally OK with you about a jail system, based on the number of offences and the gravity of every offence. But it would need other tweaks to the whole system, even if devs don't want pk to be the first solution to a conflict, they don't want to remove it either, so going too far in the punishment would be counter productive and "kill" the use of pk, in these obvious abuses but also in more regular situations (spot conflicts).

It's called mutual combat and its a thing. Dueling used to be legal. But more to the point someone is fishing in a river & you just walk up and shank them its absurd! And so it having to keep a toon under level 50 just to do it.

As far as the enemy mobs go, dude its a war with Dark Spirits.

Let's be real the only reason they don't have PVE servers is because over 90% of the player base would be on them & that would shatter the entire narrative against it. Tyranny of the minority.
