"With instanced grind spots"
Doing that and BDO would be dead in 3 months, because everyone would get bored and leave.
Look at what happened to WoW, they added instanced open world, and WoW is dead now.
Muuuhahaaa. This game is dead ... but now.
After removing open pvp tens of thousands of players would come back here.
Give me private zone and I will grind 24/7 only with a break for eating and sleeping.
The main reason why I don't play and 99% of new players leave BDO after a month is open forced pvp.
Deal with it.
Play another game vs trying to radically change this one
Yet nobody have explained
"What exactly are the "risk" with pk that would justify a lower reward with potential channel with pk disabled ?"
what even are the pk risk in this game ? 🤔
Oooooh yes we did, undeniably, to the point that you had to wait until now before you dared to ask it again.
That's why nobody's answering to you now.
I agree. Bring back PVP at World Bosses. Bring back exp loss on PK. Bring back PVP to Olivia. Lower the Karma Penalties.
You know bring back all those things Pearl Abyss changed because it was chasing away customers. Staying true to a poor vision is always more important than a successful future.
Still they didn't make pure pve channels. They already made the necessary changes, it seems. Thanks for your insight!
The ONLY reason they where made is because of the overwhelming toxicity and problems they created.
It's simple, Pearl Abyss can't count. They are satisfied with small money (although it is several million per month) on toxicity, losing tens of millions they could earn from pve players.

I think it's actually the opposite way. The way the game enables toxicity and griefing creates a lot of ways streamers can gather an audience. I can imagine the biggest income for PA comes from streamers throwing donation money at the game; at least that's the impression I got after I watched a streamer getting thousands of dollars as donation from his viewers to get cron stones for a few PEN fallen god attempts.
Now nobody knows exactly how much PA makes compared to what they would make should they have made other choices, but I'm sure at PA headquarters they thought this through. After all, most companies chase the route that yields them the biggest profits.
