The Karma system has never punished players enough in my opinion. You kill someone IRL you go to jail for 10+ years. I'd be much more satisfied if they had their entire account in Jail for 10 days for killing players outse of grind spots. If you want to do the crime be ready to pay the time, with your account. The risk reward doesn't punish these people ENOUGH. (Then no one would do it, exactly that's the point, murder is wrong. You get Evil Karma for being Evil for a reason.)
Oh how did I miss this GEM of an argument.
IRL and Video games have nothing in common, at worst killing someone in a video game where you can respawn is the same as flipping them off in traffic. Node camping is like insulting their mother. If anything the punishment for killing another player in game and going negative karma is too severe.
This was hidden by admin due to the reports it has received.

You failed worse than you thought your opponent did. The entire premise, point, significance was clearly stated. You intentionally ignored it to give a poor response.
The premise is simple: The punishment for PKing in their opinion was not suitable enough for the damage it creates.
Here is a much more knowledable and correct answer.
The general premise is very accurate. That is due to poor game design and abuse. For example one way war declaration can be used to circumvent the karma system. Mob feeding can cause a much greater penalty than just pking. Having positive karma gives a huge advange to grief.
That is an actual GEM of a well demonstrated arguement with facts and examples.
Let me give you a real correct answer.
When you choose a game, you choose a game that fits your desires. By coming on BDO, you choose a game which includes owpvp, between other things. As such, you can also expect the others to have made the same choice.
Bottom lines? We all willingly abide by the same rules. If I want to PK you or mob feed you, I don't need any additional permissions from you to do it as you already accepted it by simply coming on this game. On the same idea, you're totally allowed to do the same to me, you can also bodythrow as much as you want. Who cares.
And ultimately, you call one sided wars a way to "circumvent the karma system"? Noooo buddy, that's also one of the most basic rules you accepted. Yes, you did.
The only nonsense here comes from players who choose this game despite being soooOOOOoooo reluctant to do any owpvp, to then shift the blame on devs and players for not giving them what they want.
Congrats buddy, between the myriads of games that can give you what you want (and there's even a recent AAA, it's not like I'm suggesting you to go to outdated games), you chose the one not made for your tastes.

After last change we have one additional channel - rulupee - and this should be life skill channel. No mobs but also no pvp.
Problem (almost) solved.
