Of course it is bannable, they "fixed" this for witch/wiz not for fun or to be a party pooper (actually I'm not sure about the latter). They deem it as "not as intended" If you get enough reports id expect a restriction.

Okay, thank you for the answer. I'm waiting to get a reaction from GM and I'll let you know. There's a lot of different opinions out there.

Answer from the GM:
"AFK Pet Grinding alone does not result in a ban on your account. We simply do not recommend reliance on this method because we will not be able to support you if any issues arise because of it or if Pearl Abyss changes policies related to it in the future.

I don't think it would be bannable but get verification. The thing is in bdo your pet standing there afk killing 1 camp of easy mobs is not going to net you much of any gains. Like you are literally better off doing ANYTHING else afk including hitting the scarecrows as you will make more xp, and afk fishing will net you more money. This is also part of why I doubt they would care its actually really bad use of AFK.

No they can't actually. If you are not in a clan it may not be viable to run around with perma reds just trying to prevent people from doing this. It's clearly NEVER been acceptable game play and always detered. It's another reason we can't have nice things like trading. Because people like you will ruin it.
There are designed AFK activities in game and that is simply NOT one of them. Additionally, if it was allowed you couldn't PK either because you could have stacks of characters doing it and a few people trying to kill reds preventing it.
Use your brain on this one. If you have to ask it's because you already KNOW it's wrong.
You are free to have your opinion, but you're simply wrong.
If you think this is unacceptable, I'd like you to point me to where in the TOS it's stated. Because I'm in fact 99.99% certain that it is perfectly fine to play this way if you prefer to.
And it's not even viable too. There will always be perma red players ready to deal with stuff like this. Traders get killed. Fishers outside safe zones get killed. AFK horse riders get killed. It all happens on a daily basis. So where's the issue?
Get off your high horse with your comment "Use your brain on this one". If you have to use language like that to attempt proving your point, you know your point is weak. The fact that the player asked is not because he/she thinks it's wrong, it's because he/she is uncertain and wanted clarification.

Instead of arguing about the pet being able to hit afk, (wow 10m/h? better to afk fish at this point), why don't you all just go to check the BILLION of problems that tamer is facing, tamer right now is unplayable and without any doubt the weakest class in the game (attention to this sentence, getting wipe by tamer doesn't mean tamer is good, you might be just bad or new to fight vs a tamer) the class is suffering much from bugs and the worst rework so far (find me a worst rework and ill change my mind). But ye imagine 40% of your skills which are the strongest skills in the kit, doesn't cc or random cc (no resist problem) because heilang is having problem/skill related to heilang.
Check my post and contribute to this problem, imagine if this was your class :(

Ok out of curiosity i tested this "OMG BUG ABUSING AFK MONEY MAKING BROKEN PLS FIX PA" and as i thought heilang does indeed attack afk, but she can't keep up with the skeleton and does literally few damage and can't keep up with the tomb without our skill help, the tomb will disappear in 2-3 minutes after staying afk while dog hit, and killing around 30 scheletons "around 1 every 6 second, broken pls fix".
I want to mention to all the people who gently reminded of mary tombstone being disabled for 2 weeks because of afk grinding, that place was abused by Nova class, the pets indeed where able to 1 hit the scheleton and keep up with the spawn while the player was fully protected SAFG shield.
So i don't think this is a problem at all considering tamer getting hit like a truck (381 dp hoom cup ecc my pot barely keep up) and considering heilang can't keep up with scheletons with the consequences of tombstone despawn after 3 minutes or less (depending on the rng)
So i suggest you all to chill and go afk fish if u want to do better money ahahahaha.
Don't get my answer too seriously, i'm not mad at you in particular, but i am mad that this post with a silly question and an irrilevant problem get more views than a serious problem that is facing tamer (just to let u know, since rework started there were mass reroll even from most loyal players and i can say we are like 1/4 of active tamer we were before rework, ofc i dont count new tamer, seasonal tamers etc... it would be stupid)
