As for the people who still think BDO is only a PVP game, wake up. 5% (True PVP component of BDO) of a game does not make it the main focus of the game. It can be the focus of indivdual players but those players are only another small % of the overall player base.

There are many aspects of BDO that require other players and where the term MMO fits in. Market place, world bosses, many grind areas, are just a few of these reasons BDO is a MMO. But the large majority of the game you play at your own pace, not requiring anyone to assist to progress, this is the best part of BDO.
Fun fact, if you go to a world boss alone, and beat it alone, it still going to give you loot when it despawns, so 100% singleplayer ready. Not like you would need to interact with others at world bosses anyways. Or do bodyblocking to the death counts as group play for you?

The fact that you are never safe from PvP outside of a town makes it a PvP game. This is why they should lessen the Red player penatlies slightly. Actually they should just remove the Karma system and implement something that actually protects AFKers while doesn't punish grind spot PvP.

Do not lie you feel sad, you do not care about me. And I do not care about you. What makes me sad are the lost souls, it is not particular you. BDO is not unique, and it is not MMO. Most other so called MMOs are not such too. They are solo games with limited multiplayer instances. BDO is simply a solo game. And all the progression you make is completely pointless. The fact you use a virtual world for delusional escape shows lack of imagination. For example I use books for that - I create the visual worlds in my mind. Let me describe the lost souls - frustrated and rejected in the real life they escape in games, still alone, trying to justify their inability to fit in, by blaming the others. And they take all their fears in the games, which is ridiculous as their avatars are immortal. In the modern society there are millions lost souls. Sad thing in general. Anyway, that does not justify the bad gameplay of BDO. Lost souls in BDO are trying to be part of community, trying to fit in, by pretending they play with other players, when they share the virtual world. They do not. This is delusional. They are alone in a solo game, and nobody cares, as it is a solo game.

I'm always safe from PvP in BDO. Try Albion, then come here and share the experience please.

Ouch, no please.
Tweaking the karma system to punish every offenders, while making sure the biggest offenders get the harsher punishment, I'm ok for that.
Removing it seems extreme and counterproductive to me, BDO needs to naturally attract players on a grind spot that fit their GS and it also needs to keep controlling killers. If you decide to slaughter someone, you should obviously pay the price, or else it will only emphasize backstabbing in the long run.

I have played Albion, I also played release Ultima Online which was far worse. Coming from far more punishing games it makes me wonder why people get upset over the PvP in BDO, at most you lose a few silver coins because your draught/perfume is gone.
