Notice, not a single Succession Sage showed up in this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KdFkMon0LY Pretty odd for a "balanced" class that's supposed to be good at NW. To see not a single Sage show up in EU VS RU, should be a red flag. He's Weak. List of Weakest Classes

The very fundamental design of which this launched with, is no longer pertinent to the meta and current content available. Tried taking Succ Sage to new Gyfin spot, you die in SA Riftchain b/c it has collision. You see danger zone and try to evade, guess what, you can't get out of the way because Riftchain has collision AND YOU CAN'T CANCEL YOUR UNPROTECTED SKILL.  He was given one of the smallest kits coupled with high damage with the counter of casting slow for balance. He now is amongst the lowest damage in the game. Not ONLY are his modifiers lower than most of the Rework classes, his PVP reduction in them is higher coupled with longer cooldowns, less protection and less movement. The damage was literally a large part of why he lost iframe on CD for Riftchain…yet almost three quarters of the es now not only hit harder but do so with more protection and speed. This isn’t balance. Sage, both kits, seriously need help and these suggestions are proved in hopes they’ll be consered/added to bring this up to the Rework levels. The ea is to not touch his ranged or pocketing mechanics, which are now somewhat balanced, but to greatly enhance his melee/m-range combat that is severely lacking. These changes would assist greatly in providing options for Sage to function more efficiently in close-to-close combat where the vast majority of his current skills are designed to work within. Only now, he lacks the outplay due to SA Riftchain OR the ability to cancel when much faster classes dive at him. Overdrive currently supports abused ranged mechanics best since his melee is slower then most and has minimal protection. I propose nerfing the Ranged skills by moving Overdrive to a passive that buffs melee/mid-range select skills only.

Overdrive – Remove current skill and replace with a passive. Similar to mobile, make it an always active passive with icon on the bar that also functions similar to mobile. Casting skills allows for a 10 stack to be added. Once 40 stacks are gained, upon activation of Ator’s Fist OR Ator’s Mark will consume the stacks adding 40% damage buff to those specific skills only.

Ator’s Fist Change Flat 40% Damage Increase consuming stack, also adds FG.

Prime: RiftStorm Change Flat 40% Damage Increase consuming stack, increases AOE 25%

Ator’s Mark Change 20% Damage Increase consuming stack with lock on mid-range, also applies “Radiation” field where animation strikes the target leaving behind a damaging field for 5 seconds (Similar to mobile)

It should also be consered, if not too much effort, to add a few of the Mobile Kits skills. As mentioned previously, Succession Sage does have very few viable skills. He would heavily benefit from a few additional skills borrowed from mobile. Specifically speaking

Mobile’s RiftChain (Modify for DPS) Skill Demo

Mobile’s Pocket Distortion (Modify for single target m-ranged float) Skill Demo

Mobile’s Riftsurge (Viable Protected CC) Skill Demo

Wormhole Add, skill similar to mobile’s dodge. 3 Second iframe that travels half Riftchain distance 50% faster and without the ability to maneuver. This skill is crucial as it would cancel skills and not allow for Sage to pocket. He’d still essentially have iframe Riftchain every 4 seconds to pocket, but Sage needs a means to quickly and safely dodge/cancel out of skills to be relevant in this new Meta. Input WW/SS/DD/AA and costs 200 Stamina. Useable in both Awakening and Succession

Reset – Remove current skill and move to a passive. Like mobile, this skill will automatically activate when certain skills are pressed again whilst being on CD. Sage (Both Awakening/Succession) should be able to use following skills back-to-back utilizing the new “Reset” every 20 seconds. Upon utilizing the specific skill again, an AOE effect representing the reversal of time should apply a 500 HP to self and allies along with 250 mp Regen. Skills affected:

Ator’s Fist

RiftChain(iframe)

RiftStrom(Awakening)

In closing, these changes would help the PVE and PVP standing of Succession Sage tremendously however the kit is still struggling with it's current setup. There still would be several challenges for small scale, but this would give those serious about maining the actual options for outplay, the is seriously lacking. Looking over the kit and comparing with some of the other es, Succession Sage’s kit is very small. He lacks viable options to allow for varied forms of play, why he’s only ever really seen in Largescale and prior to heavy unwarranted nerfs, pve. If his damage is to remain on the lower end as it stands now, he needs to be able to cast much faster and have more movement to allow for outplay. Succession Sage only has 1 viable iframe at the moment and relies on Downsmash to even win in pvp. A 30% chance to win, even when you out gear an opponent, isn’t fun or fair. Too often do Sages struggle with landing CC and not being able to dish out enough damage so rely on second CC or Downsmash only for it to be resisted, and then the player killed immediately. There are also still several bugs on this i.e. Best catches still firing in the wrong direction after a Prime Spearbolt. We really need help.

Remove SA Riftchain(Riftchain on CD) – This skill is a source of contention for most Sage mains currently. It lacks any meaningful utility due to it having collision, being incredibly slow compared to all other rework es movement and doesn’t prove any relevant damage reduction. The stamina drain on this skills cost for its reward, is also too high. Please conser removing and replacing with the following option, similar to what we see on mobile. If you're open to more changes, the following would also improve the current standings:

Prime: Riftchain (iframe) should be changed to 3 second CD move 15% faster and prove 25% grapple resistance for 3 seconds and provide 25 additional DP for 3 seconds as well.

Prime: Spearbolt – Reduce cd to 7 seconds, increase casting speed and travel speed along with 25% increased range.

Illusion Compression – Change skill to allow for Sage to toss out a small black hole and move freely/attack instead of leaving rooted like current animation. Also change both hits from 790% to 1150%


Ator’s Fist – Non-Overdrive should maintain same PVP reduction(Along with Overdrive) but be increased from 983% to 1083%


Gravity Rift -  Add additional from 793%x6 to 1150%x6 OR Replace with Void Blast modifier's entirely

Void Blast -  Replace with Mobile's Void Beam. Remove CC, replace with DPS. Current Void Blast is a copy paste of Gravity Rift with more damage.  Skill Demo

Increase Melee Casting Speed – Entire kit is incredibly slow given the low amount of damage it has now. Seeing how Rework Classes now not only deal more damage faster, all of Succession AND MH skills should be sped up if they’re melee focused. Also, the current 10% casting speed the passive grants, should be automatically added to the passive, so instead of a flat 10% casting speed from passive, given how slow this is, should be changed to 20%.  Please conser increasing melee and mid-range skills cast speeds 25%. Everyone that spends any decent amount of time on this class, finds that casting speed with Zbuff, is where the should be at base. We’re not asking for the ranged skills like Finishing Touch, Spatial Collapse or Void Gateways to be sped up, but ALL OTHER skills should.
