The Shaiventure

Are you awake?

These are the memories of the forgotten world...

Sorry, but you should have known better.

And so the story began.

My first story in Black Desert Online began back in the closed alpha when my friends and I came from another MMORPG to find a new home, but today is not the day I talk about this.

I will also not talk about my stories of friendship, love and betrayal. While I wished to talk about Eggy, a golden Egg I carried through the world of Black Desert, I already did that here.

This story begins on the 9th of June 2019, not in the world we know, but the realm known as the Global Lab, the place where future content is being tested. 

A new class had just released, the first of it's kind and as the time of it's writing, the only. I am talking about the Shai, the class named after the race from Florin, the town in the Calpheon area.

This little Florang wielding Trickster after losing her memories has decided to follow the path laid upon her by the Black Spirit.

As the course of the story is for most the same, I will not be going over already existing story.

Day 1 of Shai on Global Lab

After playing through the story I had previously finished on other characters, I decided, hey, why don't I do a little story thing? Fast forward to June 2019, to be exact the 29th. 

As Shai was only able to ride donkeys at this point I was riding home to Velia from the Polly Forest, when it struck me, "why not turn this all into an adventure? My own little Shaiventure!"

Note: I was trying to be funny with the name, hope it worked.

Calpheon

As I was still on my way home, I thought, why don't I visit the capital of Calpheon? Calpheon City is a beautiful city by the looks where you can get a lot of candles to create your own little 

enhancing altar, not to mention the beautiful college, where you can learn the ways of the Valkyre.  While it has a lot of issues regarding it's citizens with the obvious divide in status, today is not the 

day we talk about politics, this isn't a senate meeting or something. 

I spent more time then I usually did in the city that evening and took a bunch of pictures, I liked.

Afterwards I didnt do any stops and returned directly home...

Velia

Since starting this game, Velia has been my home, there is no denying that the town has always had a charm for itself, even if the shores are filled with boats. 

Back home, I worked on my interior, enhanced my items and cried after failing all of them, a good old Monday evening. However I decided I was not done yet,

after my adventures with the Egg earlier that year, I had just had to go out and create this Shaiventure for real... (I was still unsure... actually still am)

I visited the Bartallis, stocked up on all my needs and hopped on Fluffington, my donkey who before had just been a bystander, watching his owner standing still for multiple minutes waiting for the right lightning....

My first goal was Kamasylvia, the home of most Ganelle (kama elves)

Heidel

My stop in Heidel was a short one, I just wanted to stock up on a few materials and enhance / cry some more.

I went to pick up some buff and went on a shopping spree.

So it was time to move on....

Extra Stuff

GM Events

During the time where I created the Shaiventure I was also active on the old Kakao Games Discord, which was the company publishing

BDO before PA took over a while ago. As there was an Event going on a few GMs were so nice to take pictures with us~

Please note that some names might have changed after almost 4 years.

Together with GM_Fenix and GM_Ammy before the second event had started.

The Donkey Race

I took part in the donkey race where one player was to win a special title and barding, however I accidentally missed a spot and didn't even

get into the top 100, still salty about missing it.

The journey to Kamasylvia was one I spent mostly without stopping, I was constantly talking to my mas about stuff I wanted to have or dnt want to have,

visited some old geezer and spent some time at farms doing se quests for the fun of it....

Until I finally arrived in....

Kamasylvia

My favorite city looks wise, but yet another plagued by problems, I spent some time in the city and went to the Mirumork ruins, doing some good old grinding back in 2019.

I enjoyed myself and enhanced yet again, beginning to cry even more shortly after, I just wanted a pen Florang... 

And off to Drieghan I went.... a couple months later...

New Looks, New Year

Drieghan

After receiving a make-over during my normal playtime, almost 5 months later I deced to return to my Shaiventures (which is something I still do)

The land of the dragons where mysterious dragon Garmoth is supposed to rese, I was excited, I always wanted to get a dragon for myself.

So I spent some time taking pictures and went through the lands for a couple days.

I deced, to go to Garmoth that evening and.... SURPISE! 

I actually got the dragon, I was so happy to finally get one... little d I know that 2 years later I would have over 20 of them

So I added another member to the group...

So it was time to go to the original home of the Shai...

Florin

Since I dnt want to feel bad about constanlty taking breaks from taking pictures, I went home and took some pictures taking a break, now for real.

During my break I met up with a lot of people and took pictures, it was a lot of fun just chilling with others and having some little se stories.

Season 2 - What happened after all of this?

These days the Shaiventure is still going on every couple months,  I am a lazy person, I absolutely love taking pictures, so I will probably one day pick up the Shaiventure actively again.

Thank you for reading my little story, this game has always been a huge part of my day to day life,

even if currently I am not the most active player. BDO for over 6 years has been a lot of fun, it had

it's ups and downs, but in the end, it's still home. I apologize for a bunch of spelling mistakes in advance,

I already spotted a few, but I am quite tired.
