[Bug] Client Crash While Switching Characters

Recently when I transport the active character to any city, then select the next character to play, the client quits. No error message. This just stops and and I have to start up the client again. I am running Windows 10 Pro, Core i5, Nvidia GPU 2 GB, 16 GB RAM. I suspect it has less to do with my system and more to do with patches made to the client.
Also I looked it up, there is a 4 year-old thread discussing such a problem before, but I didn't want to be a necromancer.

This issue might happen if there are corrupted files in your installation folder. To solve it you just need to verify your game files from the launcher.
