SUGGESTION:
Add new wizard skill passive: Focus of the battlemage (50SP) to the Awakening skilltree
Passive "Focus of the battlemage" Effect: Changes following spell effects IF passive is learned:
Speed Spell III: Does NOT affect allies anymore, lowers cooldown to 30 seconds OR increases duration to 50 seconds (equivalent tweak to modify uptime on all levels)
Magical shield IV: Lowers cooldown to 45 seconds (equivalent tweak to modify uptime on all levels)
Healing Light house I-IV : This skill does NOT affect allies anymore, its cast speed is 15% faster for second and third tick
Controlled Madness: Does NOT affect allies anymore
Elementalization: Becomes "Invincible while using skill", usable from Staff mode
Teleport: Lowers cooldown by 1 second
optional: Ultimate teleport is always available for awakened mage after "normal" teleport.
Protected area: Does not affect allies anymore, increased cooldown to 2 minutes, applies debuf with 2 minute duration in which caster cannot receive another Protected area effect.
Flame's Calling: Gains Frontal guard
Sage's Light: Skill cannot be learned if you have learned Focus of the battlemage
Focus of the battlemage : cannot be learned if you have learned Sage's Light
This would significantly lower group utility of Awakened wizard but it would make it actually more viable standalone melee caster/battlemage if you choose to be one. this passive skill would only change spells and spell effects for AWAKENED wizard.
reasoning why we get solo capability buffed with passive taken is that we basically lose all group utility:
Magical shield wouldnt have 50% uptime, but more in the 75ish% (you can still pick level of mana shield u want according to your gear not to go oom instantly)
Healing lighthouse - aoe heal, wouldnt affect allies at all.
Controlled madness - Awaken e buff wouldnt give effect to allies.
Elementalization - now totally unusable, with this change it would be worth using. still 15 sec cd.
Teleport - 1 sec less cd is reasonable "buff"
Protected area - personal only now, longer cd, and longer debuff from getting another PA
Flame's calling - omega bad skill for pvp for so many reasons, might as well make it protected with fg
Sage's light - aka rabam heal - would be totally unaccessible in battle mage "stance" for balance purposes.
