Scarlet blade did not had marketing in it's time, it's literately a noname game, no wonder it died. Literately, only a private server exits rn.
You can actually say that it's performed better than it should. Other noname games of that size are so dead, that noone even mentions (or remember) them. Meannwhile the few players who hear'd about scarlet keeps mentioning it due to bobs even nowdays.
pretty sure black desert was no name game in 2014 and in 2015, at this time we thought the game will fail
the reason was lack of pve content, pvp look bad, another korean grinding game and several thought it was another p2w game
we thought it was just another kickstarter game
at this time it was more scarlet blade vs guild war 2 vs tera vs blade and soul vs wildstar

So there is some new info about Wukong and the Dragon lady on some discords. There is even a poly video :D
We now have the assets/images for wukong starting outfits -> But, again, only on bdo mobile datamine.
We have the voices avaliable for the dragon lady on her character creation-> On PC datamine.
So if you had any hope left for a male class to come soonish you can lose it already. PC will be getting the dragon lady first.
For Ladies they made a dragon theme, for Males the theme is a monkey demigod... i want them reversed, give the ladies a monkey and for males a dragon!

bdo was hyped pretty hard in the west. A lot of players know about it, even if they don't play it. That can't be said from many other korean game.
Ultimately a game's sucess mainly deepens on the marketing. If ppl not know about a game, then they ain't play it, even if it's good.

what i read at this time was black desert was not popular in korea and only came here because that
scarlet blade had better marketing, because you could use naked loli

The graphics are good, what is necessary for a good waifu sim. The graphics close by at least. The open world is huge and an outstanding piece of art.
Thats basically it. Pve content does barely exist beyond grinding the most stupid AI packs.
Pvp is filled with cheaters and barely worth the hard work you need to do before thinking of it.
Lifeskill is not special. The housing system is very good, but its meaningless.
Afk activities and gathering is a clicking fest on assets. They dont even have some animation after you yield them, trees are not falling over, bushed dont even disapear.
Any noname game with gathering does that better.

It's been 11 months, 21 days, 6 hours, 34 minutes and 4 seconds ...since Sage's release. It would be perfect if we could play a new MALE class In a new winter land In a completely new story ... I will probably get a flame from the forum trolls (such as "we dont need more class , balance old ones" or we "want "boobas" ! ) But there Is a very large group of people In the community who are counting on the fact that In April, along with the new content, we will be able to play a new MALE class ! Also that brings back to game old and new players , much more than a winter region would attract by intself. Please PA I hope you won't let the players down this time.
Ikr, yes please, this. Vindictus did amazing on male undies. BDO was lazy as hell with male undies. Granted Vindi, too has far more female classes but they at least knew how to fan service with male classes. It's weird anyone would be against new male classes because you can only play one class at a time on screen anyways, so it's not like a new male class would force any of those severe homophobic mindset folks, complaining about seeing a male's butt to see a male's butt. Stay on your lady classes to not see the male butt? Also people who claim lady classes sell more, they do which is very much obvious when you have more content to buy from on them. Adding male content will still get male sales and there are still males confident enough in their own sexuality that they main males and enjoy dressing them up too.

Remove Gender lock or add male classes until it is at least close in ratio it doesn't need to be 50/50 but having 3x more female classes really limits the classes I want to play.

The issue is a built in design one. They do not have a Male body model and a Female body model. They have a Wizard body model and a Witch body model and a Striker body model and a Mystic body model and a Musa body model and a Maehwa body model, etc.
26 body models, instead of 2.

It's actually impressive someone bought the International Men's Day for this, nobody really cares about that day, quite ironic so to say.
