When doing a normal Pila Fe scroll (the only system that existed prior to mass summon), Pila Fe scrolls provided 7.5 memory fragments each, on average (counting both bundle and boss drops), or 1.5 memes per scroll fragment (5x1.5=8)
The mass summon system provides 31.75 memory fragments per summon at level 5. Each mass summon costs 5 scrolls, meaning each scroll is giving 6.3 memory fragments, 84% of a normal summon (or 16% less memory fragments per scroll).
And on top of that, each x5 summon takes between 4 and 5 minutes to clear with 5 players with over 280 AP (Kutum). Normally, a Pila Fe scroll takes 45 seconds to 1 minute (depending on how lazy you are with the Black Spirit interaction) using pen tuvala gear (247-250 AP).
So mass summons are not only less profitable than individual summons but also take significantly longer to clear, all the while requiring far more gear to actually perform.
My assumption is that PA forgot to include the individual boss's loot drops in the mass summon and only included the bundles (each boss on average would add 1-2 memory fragments, there are 2 bosses per fight, so it's a very significant increase). Please hotfix it, mass summons should be, at complete bare minimun, as profitable as regular ones.
PD: if you're curious, health doesn't seem to be scaled down when you do the individual x5 summon (no party). So you're fighting a boss meant for 5 people to kill, as 1 person. Expect around 15 minutes to clear it, the rewards are the exact same as if you do it on a party.
THat's a shame.
I would have thought doing pila fe scrolls as a group in the new way would be superior to doing them the old way, but if your data is true, then anyone doing the new group method is wasting time & resources to do so. Especially because doing them solo is an instanced boss, you could even have all 5 people go to the same spot, same server, NOT in party, and do their scrolls faster and more profitably alone, than in group.
So why do it in group?
Reasons to do it alone:
- convenient, no need to wrangle party members together
- faster (about 45 seconds per scroll from start to turn-in if you are sweaty)
- more profit margin per scroll
reasons to use new group system:
- the joy of group?!
- that's it
Maybe there is a way to make the group boss far far far faster than doing 5 consecutive scrolls yourself, then it would be worth considering for a profit per hour standpoint, but that sounds unlikely based on what I am hearing so far?
silly boi, artisans are in the cash shop and u expect less tedious or better memory fragment farm?

7.5 memory fragments per scroll solo? Im pretty sure the real average is almost exactly 7 mem frags per scroll, not 7.5. That extra .5 you rounded up to isnt really accurate I dont think, unless your sample size is small and you got lucky.
That being said, im about to test the group scrolls myself to see what different stages are like and see whats efficient or comparable.
wouldnt surprise me if true, its PA after all, slap it into the game and ship it, no testing required
