They are lying.  I have kept a max price PO up among hundreds of other max price PO's for TFR's going on two years now on NA.  They get trickle sold a couple at a time every few days which you can check with the last sold info and the PO count virtually never going down.

If this person sold "hundreds of rods" they were acquired many years ago, not min price PO's that are filled every month.  Such nonesense...   

Anyways this stuff is verifiable by the devs/gms so this poster's trolling serves no purpose.

There are currently only 303 total pre orders for triple floats right now.   If the rod has been sold out for years as you claim there would be tens of not hundreds of thousands of pre-orders.

Correction Senemedar, it appears no one is willing to sell you their triple float fishing rods.  Just as when I started playing the game last year found no one was selling items in the CM, I desired to buy.  Some like the triple float are backlogged, others like the combat saddles are just at zero.  Most people who play this game learn to craft their own items, then never sell them, because the profit is not worth the labor.  I can farm the hundreds of lizard hides I need and sell those for a bigger profit, than using them to make one saddle.  I still own a saddle shop and a costume shop in Heidel.  Once in a while, I have my workers make something at a loss and hope the person on the other end appreciates the effort I made... probably not.

I am not going to say this system is broken.  I have seen worse broken economic game systems. The developers are not responsible for the economic disasters.  Do you all want to know what makes all them all broken?  The answer, lazy players with virtual coin in their pockets desire to get something dirt cheap without real effort and the other lazy players who craft items but are unwilling to sell them at any price.   The BDO Central Market system is not perfect, nothing is, so you just learn to use it.

To the OP, I can only assume you are a veteran of this game since you stated the triple float has been sold out for years and this is a ghost account because you have issues.  However, in the event, you just joined the game in Februrary, as your account states,  Balenos fishing rod can be obtained by crafting in a tool workshop that is level 3.  The Balenos fishing rod is repairable and I made several for my personal use.

-edit- I see now.  You yourself have claimed to have joined BDO a year ago.  Allow me to explain.  Pearl Abyss took over and self published this game about a yaer ago, prior to that Kakao was the NA/EU publisher.  We had to transfer our existing accounts from Kakao to Pearl Abyss.  That should explain things.  Cheers.

Yeah, I have no idea what this guy is on about. I'm a Guru 30 fisher on NA and have not been able to get my hands on triple floats via market for hotspot fishing since forever now. It's been a pretty dead activity to me because of the supply shortage.

There are a couple of different quests to obtain Triple Float Rods, but yes, the one stated is the most obvious. I think the easiest way to fix this would be to increase the maximum price it can be sold at. 

But there will be a fishing lifeskill update sometime this year. Will PA continue with their lifeskill improvement theme they stated they would be doing (and have been) for the last month or so. So we'll just have to wait and see.

One time only quests. Only this one weekly quest is repetitive. And triple rod is not a permanent item, but a consumable. Zero durability = you throw away.

Mmo game where crafting is not profitable is a bad game. In BDO crafting gives no profit or is so minimal as to be negligible.  And this makes the market empty. Also people don't want to sell mats either because their price is too low to be profitable. But it cannot be increased because, as I wrote here, e.g. in the case of meat, if its price is too high, no one will buy meat because its price will exceed the value of the imperial box. On the other hand, many items in processing have a fixed limit set to 1, which means that the value of materials exceeds the value of the finished item, especially when we have a sick 30% tax which takes all profit.

Sum it all up: the economy in BDO does not exist. 

I don't buy anything (except for items on which you can only lose by making them yourself, e.g. accessories) and I sell nothing. I collect everything myself and process everything myself, only for personal needs.
And simple proof why this game and economy will never work:

Meat has exploded to a new 2 times the maximum price. And now day after day it's going back to the old maximum price. We have tons of offers that nothing wants to buy and tons of preorder but nobody wants to sell. I said it would be like that, I warned that such changes would not change anything for the better.

Since there is such a high demand, it was necessary to increase the supply, i.e. increase the amount of meat from gathering eg. from basic 4 to basic 8. Raising the price is the biggest mistake that could be made because the supply is the same all the time.

That is not true, there are at least two repeatable quests I know of, perhaps more that I don't, re Triple Float Rod. But whether there is one, or five repeatable missions, it is possibly likely not to address the problem the OP is speaking of.
