Hello people :) I was a bit bored so I decided to make this post about Shai, I made one some months ago before the reworks and I felt like doing this one after the reworks and tell what I think about her now, I've been playing the class for a long time and maybe I could give some insight or maybe not who knows, I'm aware that this post won't do anything I'm just killing some time xD. Ok here it goes, sorry for the long text.

PVE:

I think after the reworks she's in a good state pve wise her damage is good the changes to the buffs are great and the couple  skills that were added are nice in pve and generally she's fun to play and specially fun in group spots. Oh and in the process her lifeskill got improved too, gathering is a lot better with the movement speed buff for 1 minute :).

I just hope the developers don't forget this class exists and leave her behind like she was since even before hadum was released she got to a point where other classes got more than double the trash loot with the same gear and where it was better to party up with any other than with a Shai in group spots because of how bad she was doing (Olums was the exception).

PVP:

Ok, here I'm going to tell my experience as someone that is engaged in Nodes/Sieges and Red Battlefields as a support with a Dp gear. It is true that her pvp damage got increased after the reworks and she's even able to kill other classes as long she gets them off guard but this is and will be the worst in that department even if she could do the same damage as the other classes she still would be the worst because of how her skill kit works and honestly I agree with it even when it is a pain dueling on the grinding spots.

I have to say first that since the reworks damage of all classes in general is off the charts and dp has become a huge meme for everyone you could literally have a full pen boss armor C20 and instantly blow up on a nodewar and last less than a combo on a duel on a game where you can be Ccd for 10 to 15 seconds which is absurdly riculous. This was a problem even before the reworks but now is insane. I've never seen a game that works under those conditions. ¿do you imagine a game like lol or tekken for example where once you're ccd or grabbed you literally release the controls because you know you're already dead and there isn't anything you can do? (And yes using V doesn't count because everything has knockdown now for some reason).

In my personal case I have a 536 dp (evasion) build, more than 10k max hp and I even have the good dp artifact and crystals and still get one combo rather frequently by  single players (Even if those players had for some reason capped gear which i doubt was the case it would still be unfair).

Shai after the reworks is in her worst state she's ever been in pvp in this current meta of riculous damage. I think this problem isn't something about her specifically is something general although she could of course benefit from some defensive passives since she hasn't any and the "lifefskill passives" she has are totally irrelevant nowadays.

Now I'm going to comment on some specifics about the class .

I understand that the developers don't want Shai to be Class that goes around killing other players since she was meant to be a full support but even for a support she is not that good the only thing good she has now is her buffs and that would be it. There are at least 4 other Classes that even though they aren't fully supports they are way better than her and have none of her handicaps ... (those would be Valkyrie, Witch/Wizard and Berzerker).

Healings

Shai is out of all the Classes of this game that are consered healers, the that has more healing skills and at the same time the that heals the least ... They not only heal very little but they also have riculous high cooldowns and the doesn't have the skills with the protection  or  the movement necessary to be able to apply the heal without being cc'd on the process of reaching your allies or during the heal itself. These are some of those skills that are especially bad.

Wet well: This is supposed to be her burst heal hehe well it heals 2.1k hp in total and has 1.30 min cd totally unprotected. Maybe this was ok when shai was released but now it is not up to date and is riculous this skill is still like this. For example a Witch is able to heal 3k to allies every 30 seconds it also heals mana and her rabam healing skill will heal another 3k hp every 1.4 min  on top of it the has the tools that allows her to apply this heals reliably.

Sharing is Caring: This is one of Shai's rabam skills she summons an orb that heals 350 hp every 7 seconds and the orb last 30 seconds so in theory you could get heal for a whooping 1,4k hp after 30 seconds but for that you should be under the orb at the very beginning and the thing has some problems to track allys under it. On top of that the orb can get oneshoted by an enemy player xD.

Be Careful: 1k hp heal than can heal at range every 30s. I always wondered why the devs would give this skill super armor when it's a skill that can heal from range and don't give it at least to get well.

Tuning: The heal of this skill is so small that is irrelevant the only time you would use the skill is if you need to recharge your own mana but the mana in this game is practically irrelevant nowadays and even so there are other ways to recharge it than this skill. (totally useless skill)

The other two remaining skills aren't good at healing either but at least are salvageable (Cheer up and Shout to the sky).

Come out, Come out: This is the only movement skill shai has that is protected and it is the most useful thing about it but it has 2 mins cd this skill should have like 20 seconds cd instead even if it loses the reveal hden enemies in the process.

Outta  my way: This skill supposedly pushes back enemies on pve although you can only see this effect at the beginning of the game and then you never see it again like any other cc in the game in pve. This push back effect should be applied on pvp as a way to get some suvivality which she lacks (Technically the skill Get well has the same effect that could be another possibility for the pushing back effect).

Play dead: This skill should cancel any other skill you’re doing at the moment and be used instantly. I also suggest that this skill should be able to be used while cc’d.

Over here (Bubble): This skill has never worked properly since day 1. At first whenever you used it, it made every one that tried to go in or out to look like they were laggy and was annoying for enemies and allies alike. Now the skill doesn’t even work half of the time enemy players will go into the bubble and grab like It wasn’t there and sometimes they could do damage from outse the bubble. This skill needs fixing …

We’re gonna win: This skill is very badly made and full of bugs and nonsense.

To begin with you don’t know the range of your buffs and debuffs while in this state if you aim too high the buff just disappears. To be able to apply this buff you need to hit the floor where your allies are standing so buffing allies that are higher than you is impossible. (The buffs should do an arc and always hit the floor no matter how high you aim and they should have visual hints of where they are going to land.

The drums counterpart aren’t in a better position you literally don’t know when the shai is going to stop playing the drums since it isn’t bound to the number of times she repeats the skill but the amount of time that passes since you start playing and funny enough that times changes depending on the attack speed you have at that moment  is just bonkers xD on top of that if you don’t release the drum skill with lmb (if you stop the skill using C for example) the timer instead of resetting will get paused and once you use the skill again the timer will count again giving the instance where you use the the drum for the second time and she release the skill instantly afterwards because you ran out of time ……….

The skill shouldn't have the preanimation you activate from hotkey  it needs to be activated instantly it in order to be half usable as it is now (I'm referring to the small drum animation) .

yippe! (Skateboard): Shai needs a way to do disengage she is too vulnerable when the enemy pushes and she isn't able to get away on time if this skill had superarmor it could be the solution at least she should have it the first second or maybe being able to use the hop skill and flow into the skateboard skill.

She needs a iframe she can choose when to use: Currently the has two Iframes hop and play dead, I already talked about play dead before and hop is a skill that you will forcefully use to move around and the iframe on that skill has 3 second cd so you don't get when to choose when to use that iframe really. The should have another skill with iframe or making that every hop she does backwards she does has iframe.

Tumble Wumble or Sprinkle Sparkle: One of the two skills should have an effect that is applied every 15 to 20 seconds that would be her equivalent to a grab if you hit an enemy player with it on superarmor (only superarmor still could be block or iframed) the enemy should get a knockback. That would fix her inability to do small scale pvp (she could use it to save an ally that is being grabbed or to stop an enemy that is dashing toward you for a grab).

 

I think that's all I'm going to say. I still have more things in mind but the text is already too dense so I will leave here.
