Well, once you remove vocal offenders, we'll be able to play pvpve in a more comfortable way.
There is a reason games like Mortal online 2 and EVE online are very very niche games becuse hardcore pvp + PK is very off putting for allot of players. Reason why ESO, FFXIV and even lost ark is more popular becuse they are mainly focused on PVE with pvp at arenas.
I played eve for 14 years and it´s been proven over and over that in about 4-5 out of 10 new players quit after their first few days becuse they are not fan of being killed over and over and over again when they are trying to learn the damn game.
I remeber back in Vanilla wow days when I tried it how much I hated that a high level charter just could come murder me and then corpse camp me. That was one of the reason I never touched wow ever again heck I have not played wow sense I tried early 2004.
PVP should be in game should be good but never ever forced on to people that don´t want it. If you want to be a hardcore pvp game then you go EVE or Mortal online route but be prepeared you will be a niche game that will never reach 2-8mill players.
Yeah for sure and I mean as a seasond eve vet I will say that if you want open world pvp and PK go full out on it like eve and mortal online did and become a niche game. Or if you want to put the work in do like Linage 2.
Or you become a PVE game with PVP Arena or do like some mmo game and have pvp server and pve servers. There is so many ways PA can do it better than what they currently have bloody learn to listen to your players more and if you don´t know to do that ask Yoshi P how he does it I mean that man is like a Legend amounts the player base becuse he listen and cares.

Precisely, BDO is far from being hardcore pvp/PK like Eve, you can even benefit from season if you want to learn the ropes and they even plan a 1-hour personal monster area to use your scrolls quietly.
Hopefully BDO is a good middle-ground, a controlled owpvp which refuses easy solutions, like pve on one side, pvp on the other... We can easily see that Devs are always trying to find new solutions to please casual players while keeping its direction : owpvp and pvpve.
That's very true. I heard a lot of horror stories in wow about people trying to complete a quest for hours because of rampant pking. BDO would have been a really dead game today if they left in the 1% exp loss upon death. It was suffocating the game so badly it had to be removed entirely.
BDO is just a poor excuse for a PVP game. It fundamentally doesn't work at all. In contrast Lineage II did a much better job. Because they didn't allow for positive karma. One PK you are red, period. Enough PK's and you can drop items. You also had to do a quest repeatedly to get rid of your pk's.
Those differences are critical in stopping toxicity. BDO degraded into mob feeding due to the broken positive karma. I recently killed someone that looked to be AFK training for a long time. I took off most my gear so I would incur minimal penalties and ended up killing his horse. I left him just standing on the road with his dead horse.
I did it because I'm sick of what Pearl Abyss allowed others to do to me.
in lineage 2 you also lost xp and back in town if you are pked
in black desert you dont lost xp and only be teleport of some dozen meters from where you been pked, so lineage 2 is not really more friendly with player been pked and you cant change server, so i say lineage 2 pvp is more brutal than in black desert
Strange... It seems we can clearly define our level of potential owpvp by choosing a spot based on its popularity.
But thanks for your opinion again. However, I feel tempted to say you may have missed some crucial points in BDO.
