Has fence placement been changed

started the Finto fence quests yesterday
rented a fence and placed that fence
now, today, after picking it up and putting it back into inventory
the same fence can't be placed in a different location, which is near my existing fences
the fence cannot be placed at the location in was being used in yesterday
the following error message: cannot place in a conquest/node war area
that error message wasn't showing up yesterday
what is different today?
This was deleted by the writer.

I can't place any fence... all of balenos is apparently a node / conquest war area now.

Thank you for this information. This is a recurring issue, and the whole reason I came to the forums this week.

i did excatelly the same thing, started quest and up to collect 100 potetos, cant place my fence anywhere.
and i just placed 6 fence on weddensday. before the patch.
