for what do you need equality, just chose your class and go on. there are plenty of options on both genders.

Lost all my hope, cause this is a MMO for female classes. And about that moneky male class...WTF i don't want a monkey-man!!! i want a dragon warrior too, compared to this new female class! I want a damn dark warrior/dark elf/dark knight class to for males! wtf is this mental degeneration with the races composed of females only?! BDO has a damn big issue with lore...

With the upcoming release of the Drakania class, a female one, it soon will be 9 male classes opposing 15 female classes. It used to be somewhat balanced, with every female class having a sort-of (strongly "sort-of") male equivalent class - but now there will be more than 50% more female classes than male ones.
I never been a fan of genderlocked classes, especially in MMO Roleplaying Games, where you ought to create your own adventurer and roleplay anyone you would like - and BDO certainly advertises itself as the one sandbox MMORPG out there with endless options to play it.
Okay, but what bugs me more than that, is that - in addition to having to play a female character, which I could tolerate to some degree - is the overly sexualized representation of the female outfits.
When I first saw Drakania and her dragon warrior theme, I was hyped. But then I see saw her armor. For the love of god, don't make her outfits too exposed; don't make me play a damn dragon warrior with kickass abilities, a kickass swords and kickass moves, all the while wearing damned fishnet stockings and high-heels and a so-called "armor" which barely covers 5% of her skin. I am so sick of the lost potential of the outfits for the female classes due to this unnecessary nudity.
Take Valkyrie as another example. I totally dig her concept: an armored warrior lady with shield and a lance. But then again... do I really want to run around half naked with a bigass chest armor, but exposed cleavage and thighs? Does it make any sense to me?
No, it simply doesn't. If I wanna get horny, I'd go somewhere else. I do not enjoy the look of overly exposed women in games where it's completely unnecessary and breaks the immersion.
I'd simply like to have the option to have atleast some male equivalents. I mean, with that way, people who like their female classes that way, can have it their way, but I can too with my male classes. Both would be happy and content, no troubles for anyone.
Please stop writing not so smart things, you are the kind of USA hypocrite player complaining about "overly sexualized representation of the female outfits", for you everything is sexualizing women and you are the kind of person who makes game being censored.
At this point i will tell you: You No Happy: You move on.
And now message from my wife: If you are not happy with outfits; Convert life skill equipement into outfit, hide pearl outfit.

I wonder what people like you say about Conan. He-man, She-ra & CO. They were oversexualizing men too?

And you are mentaly alive in 1430 for armored woman. Since i don't expect much from people from a country /continent/ where people sue a company, because they can't open canned food. You have the right to google those women armor from 1430.

Gender locking classes is just an awful practice, i think we can all agree to that. More so when the classes in bdo are archetype definitions. Why can't you make a sand wielding woman? Why is there no elion male knight? Where is the dark magic male user? No woman with katanas?
The least you can do whenever you are locking classes like that is having counterparts or if that its too much work at the very minimum you should maintain a healthy spread between gender ratios.
Pa does neither. This coming week we will have 50% more female classes than male counterparts avaliable in the game so if you, like me for example, like to just play male characters on a rpg cause you like to immerse yourself with your characters...though luck.
We all know why: female characters sell more, attract more players. PA is a business and from a business standpoint this makes sense. Im just hoping next char will be male so i can have anything new to play with too (but thats 6+ months fron now so...).
Lets us wait and see what PA has planned for summer cause i very much doubt a new zone with 3 grind spots + a pvp arena will be enough to carry the game for the rest of the year.
