Does a non combatant become a combatant or corrupted by defending themselves?
i dont think you become red to fight back

If you defend yourself you become a Combatant and if you are healing/buff a friend that is Flag Combatant/Red Karma, you become a combatant. if you hit a Red Karma you become a Combatant.
The Picture is universal to all situation. What ever the position you are in.
With this system, I activate my ability to get hit other Non-combatant player ( alt C) , It's make me Combatant as the first hit land on any player. ( if I don't wish to kill a Non-Combatant i can disable Alt+C).
You grind. I enter your pack. I hit you ( I become Combatant), You hit me, you become a Combatant for a minimum of 1 min(wish 2), I kill you/you kill me as much as I want as long as you/me doing any interaction that can deal damage or support skill that come from you that hit a friend Combatant or Red Karma, I can make sure you stay a Combatant as long you insist on staying on the spot and continuing to grind (Using skill that will eventually hit someone Combatant or Red karma). Zero Karma lost.
Note that if your Pvp Flag(Alt+C) -> Capacity to hit Non-Combatant is still on. You kill everyone including Green one which will cost you karma.)
Karma ends up serving what should serve. To protect passive people. You are grinding, you are not passive.

If that's the case, I dont think I agree with that system then. Defending oneself should never punish a player

You are not punished, You just become a combatant and able to defend your grind spot as it's suppose to be.
A universally one-sided System like BDO have currently is the ultimate Aberration on a Sandpark mmorpg.
With a System of Green-Purple-Red (which is the best period.)
Everyone is in the same boat, all equal.
You fight for what you want. bar dot. Mmo sandpark are Pvpve, period. Not Pvp and Pve. No separation, one world.
Atm the BDO one sided entirely privileges the Carebears, which is disastrously an abomination to privilege in a Sandpark mmorpg.
Bref, I repeat what I have already said over 20 times this last 6 years. No intends to participate more in a sterile discussion since the debate is not open.
And PA decided to favour the Carebears. There is no debate or discussion to be had when there is already a winner and a loser.

It's the best system, and it's not debatable.
Been 6 years that we ask for that.
They don't want to implement a relatively simple 20-year-old system. That has proven himself. And which makes consensus among all Sandpark enjoyers.

This looks nice. No need for PvE servers then.
Wait changed my mind after reading other comments. Too many skills just AE by default so you'd end up accidentally hitting the combatant just while farming and auto-combatant without intending to.

Aaaaah that's a nice remark, something would be needed for this problem.
This was hidden by admin due to the reports it has received.

I see no need for any changes. the fact that pkrs hate it means the current system works.
