Something people really needs to understand, is that the most people in an MMORPG is casuals. Most casuals are not on forums, reddit and so on.
So if you make a post and most people agree with you, its not that the devs are not listning, its just your few compared to all the casuals.
I see countless of post, complaining about things that maybe good for casuals and not the hardcore or endgame people.
The more casual content BDO has, the better it is. More people = More money = More content.
This game really needs more casual content. quests, story, PVE and so on.
That is true that a game's most popular partion is the casuals.
On the other hand you are wrong in this:

bdo is not world of warcraft. It's monetized differently. The overwhelming mayority of the money PA makes (80%+) comes from an extremely small minority, from the whales. And they pay to get advantage (gear), not to read random BS quests and whatnot.
The very reason why you get those """"expansions"""" for free instead of they being in DLC is that noone would pay money for those.

We can never know how many people are casuals in %, we only know that most are.
But lets say every casual left BDO, why would the whales keep buying stuff and playing the game? They need the casuals to feel good and keep playing.
World of warcraft is an bad example, as its not for the casuals anymore, its for the top 1% who does high end raiding or PVP. why most people left.

You clearly don't know the %, however there are market analysis on game industry, and if you do your research you will going to have a good understanding.
PvP in wow dead since many expansions ago, and while blizzard do develop the game with high end raiding in focus, the bulk of the money is made by the casuals, and not by that like two guild who does it competitively worldwide.

PVP in wow is not dead. the game is dying. because they are trying to do the group, hardcore content.
But again, if the "most" people leave BDO, the whales wont stay.
also , why do you think they keep making BDO Free? because they want more casuls in. If you dont have the money to buy the game, you will never use it in the shop. They are just here to fill the world

They keep giving it away for free every 2month, as people not willing to buy it even for that 10$it costs, that's why.
They are desperate for new players, but not every new player is casual, so where is your point? The two ain't even related.

You really think, that the people who are waiting for it to be free, are going to use countless of EU/USD on the game?

more people=more money only work on wow or ff14
black desert price is too cheap to really benefit from more people
you need those people to spend money, so only matter is the pearl shop, not really number of player

majority casual doesnt spend enough time or play seriously to be relevent for pvp whale, 99% casual only lifeskill, never reach level 50 and only stay here one week, so pvp whale cant really feel they are god with casual, you need other hardcore players for that, not lifeskiller players sub level 50
it doesnt work like lineage 2 where you can only grind and level up and try to improve your stuffs
in black desert you can do something else than only kill one million monsters every day and burn 1000$ by month, so your black desert casual just stay in town and fish or buy outfit for their waifu or something for their manor

dont worry if microsoft buy blizzard they will made wow f2p on steam and gamepass and you will see a new surge of steam players and xbox players on wow and i am not surprise if they add elder scroll online, halo, doom and fallout 76 item in wow ^_^
