Additional minor things I want:

・Toggle music on/off with CTRL+M key combination

Something like Marniwave but it only controls the "real" music ingame, with checkboxes or buttons like:

・Keep playing current track (don't change music when changing zones until current song ends)

・Skip song (immediately move to next area/context-specific track)

I was thinking the same thing: this grotesque musical problem could at least be mitigated by an option to do just as you said.  It won't bring back the perfection of before, but being able to continuously listen to a good track, and skip the one's we don't want to hear until a suitable track plays.... that would make this situation more bearable.  It won't be easy during combat, but this idea is an easy way out of this current mess.

Ah... Port Ratt. :)

I've ignored the ocean thus far in BDO, but since Port Ratt is vanishing I took a ferry across the ocean to take a look at what I will be missing. The music in Port Ratt is ONE track (or if there were more I couldn't tell the difference!) Port Ratt is (soon to be was) the ONE city in the game that plays music appropriate to it and hasn't just been pirated off of some place else (like the now dreaded Sand Grain Bazzar theme!). It is a good track, I hope it will reapear in some place fitting in Haso.

The ocean plays three tracks. Two sound close to each other, so that is great. A theme is clearly protrayed as you cross the ocean. The third track is something from Mediah. Sigh... I would be stranded if I jumped off the ferry...

If the devs ever see this post... they can't ruin Port Ratt's music now because it is vanishing anyway... heheheh. Please revert the music rework or seriously improve your music.

Logged in for the first time in months and was taken aback at the massive fanfare music while trying to gather... lol

Please please change the soundtrack back. Whatever this is, ain't it.

I used to like the theme songs..... but they are so out of place in game, that I really don't like them anymore.

Also, today is the 365th day since this nightmare was unleashed........

Just saw a teaser vid for Land of Morning Light.  It looks amazing: hopefully the gameplay is too.  The music was awesome and fit the area........

Hopefully all the tracks suit the areas and situations.

Please, PA, make the music sound good, and make it be pertinent!

I don't want to be doing a quest that has a non war-like theme, with war-like music banging in the background.  (like at King Guy Seric's tomb in the Nova questiline with Saunil Battlefield music playing because.......... it's in a forest in the Calpheon region so any old Calpehopn region track will do?)

Anyway, my pain at the music is just as acute as it was when this was first inflicted on us.  Please, offer us a fix to this.  Again, I shouldn't hear oasis music while grinding in the desert.  I shouldn't hear Balanos island style music on the streets of Heidel.  I shouldn't hear epic theme music when gardening in a Balenos forest.  I shouldn't hear haunting, dark mood music in Polly's forest where bumbling mushrooms frolick.  And why do I hear the tune so fitting for Polly Forest playing at the Manshuams, who are a bit more serious and a lot more dangerous?  The list goes on.  Also, the music at Atanis Pond is no longer enjoyable, as the singer's music blends with the area music.  The music has been in need of a serious reboot since April 13, 2022.  It needs to be set back to what it was.

The community may no longer care.  The devs may not care.

I do.

Peace.

@Musa - Keep fighting the good fight.  I gave up on the music during the Christmas fiasco.  It's - empty now.

Maybe will try again for the new region.  We'll see how long that will last.

Side note: will new regions no longer get a proper name, only descriptions? "Mountain of Eternal Winter", "Land of the Morning Light".

@Musa - I am with you too, others too, and we care!

I see a lot of music of the Land of the Morning Light going up on the BDO YouTube music channel, but it is hard to get excited, for I can't be sure anymore how they will implement it.

Recently I played the Mountain of Eternal Winter again. Mostly the music makes sense, even with switching tracks (except for the game menu screen music that plays, that is jaring because it was designed for the main menu, not in-game), but because they blend together there is no ditinctiveness to any track. What is Eilton's musical theme? It has none, not like how Valencia City, Altinova, Grandihara, Grana, etc. used to be.

This is even more sad since, playing since before the music 'rework' I never had a chance to know the theme, whereas with the other cities I lived in a time where the music DESIGNED for said cities played and can mute the game to seek the track designed for each location. Miss those days...

Also still waiting on a quick mute option. Is that not easiest to implement compared to fixing the music?

Perhaps this is something the devs should consider, less every new location have NO identity in the Land of the Morning Light and beyond.
