Coming from an far more punishing game on the enchantment side (L2). BDO is ultra casual. Failstack is literary a pity system.
Enhancing in BDO is really not that bad.

These no alternative to the rng enhancing system except the plague casual cancer one that apply to destroy your gear progression every 4 month by releasing a new Tier of gear far superior to the last one. Aka the Themepark scheme one. And the Themepark one is straight unacceptable garbage, trash, insulting, death thread. For me.

So the *Worst Gear progression* I totally disagree.  Especially since you're not enchanting without a gain. Your failstacks have an enormous value.

They are literally worthless. In fact they are worth Neg 40+ billion silver each. WORTHLESS GARBAGE!!!!!! GARBAGE!!!!

There are no gains from enhancing EVER. Its just gambling and the HOUSE ALWAYS WINS! IT'S CANCER!!!!

Ooooo now I have 10% chance to fail 50 times again!!!! Lets so some math 50 x 20 = 1000.... Hmm item cost 100. WORST SYSTEM EVER!!!!!

Take good look at the black spirit's grin. His pearly white teeth are an obvious indicator of a con artist. Don't trust him! Say no to Black Spirits and say yes to uhh.... Alpacas! Have alpacas ever harmed you? No. But the black spirit does. I'm pretty sure he's the reason why you lost your memories. He's too sus for me.

I was almost going to say that you had my vote for an alpaca image to replace the black spirit.  But on second though, that would be even creepier.

This game don't have gear progression system cause you can only fail and lose what you already had.

Conclusion: whole game is therefore pointless, you don't have chance to obtain best items from enchanting, also you can't buy them because you need 15 years grind.

All you can do is pay real money and buy crons.

I'm not a fan of RNG enhancing, above all if it's linked with CS (for a RNG result, it goes too far in the predatory strategy ; but having guaranteed gear through CS would also be a bad move. I'm making this precision before anyone try to put words into my mouth).

I wouldn't call FS a "pity system" as you can keep failing even with high FS, but no, that is not the worst gear progression system at all.

I disagree with Catastigma about the FS, but I completely agree with him about any system which implies the appearance of a new stuff, making your own completely irrelevant : this is a real bad progression system. Coming back after some months to realize that your hard earned equipment became irrelevant? At least, you don't have that on BDO.

And with the market, you can go really far in term of gear without any RNG involved. You can go up to a point which allows you to confront anyone in the game.

Let other players gamble, and get what you want. 

Yup. Pay to gamble or mega whale to buy. No skill. Just a total joke of a system.

Well RNG on avarage will going to result in the avarage rates, so while there are some ppl who onetap BS on a 69 stack with a hammer, and there are the poor dude who failed 40 times on 318stack, overall the players progression will going to happen on the avarage rates. Obviously the unlucky ones will be more loud than the carried/avarage ppl, and it would be more fair if it would not be RNG, but this is a Korean game, RNG is common here, and if it would cost avarage materials instead, everyone would bitch about it being too grindy.

Everyone have the option to buy gear if you not like gambling, appart from 3 items. The market price for most items are cheaper than the cost to enchance it on avarage.

The insult to injury this game has faced since Valencia is the fact you fail backwards. So despite the fact I saved up a YEARS worth of memory fragments & Artisans, it doesn't matter. Just burned through them trying to even get to TET to try to get an attempt to fail PEN BS at 5%.Then accessories just blow up. So you will see the "OMG those stacks are worth so much money" people and its like dude, TET Distortion Earrings are like 20 billion and its only a 10% chance; you are going not only lose but get stomped on.

And the reason this system BLOWS is because even if you do get the gear THEY KEEP MAKING EVEN HIGHER GEAR ZONES! Instead of allowing people to quest upgrade their PEN accessories for Specters, they demand you start over. Fallen God Armor is at least a swap your gear for system. But you are SOL on Weapons. I made my PEN Dande long before the gear Quest but now they made Zones need the +25 AP Monster Damage from Awaken. So it's like START OVER with the Cancer system.

Lets not kid ourselves these "systems" Season -> PEN Quest are "catch up mechanics" and every time them add a catch up mechanic they release a new zone or content that requires all of those players & the old ones to re-engage with this Tumor Ridden Cancer system. THEY WILL NOT LET US ESCAPE IT! It is the WORST aspect of BDO and it is nothing more than a zombie corpse tied to everyone's leg that they have to drag through this entire game. It sucks. It keeps this game in 3rd or 4th place for International MMOs and until they wake up they will never rise above BDOs reputation of a glorified gambling simulator & pay to win MMO when it is SO much better than that with this system cleaned up!

Im pissed because a better system would make BDO hands down the best MMO ever made this is ALL that's holding it back. (That and auto-path sprint still not fixed on horses, just saying.)
