Total support. It's an easy change and would be nice for those who arent 650gs.

Anyone against this is probably just threatened by the idea of not having people to 1 shot lol.

Yeah, I think this culture of players has been nourished by the "casual unfriendlyness" type of game and makes it even harder to get the point across. Many people start to explain away things so easily, making it even easier for the community to be milked and divided in plebs and "chosen ones".

Feeling good about making a science of "how to be able to have fun", even coming up with a lot of hacks to get an edge in a feature that was not intended to be like this and turning it into best practice (negative karma alts to create failstacks) as overcoming hurdles, that are only there to deny casuals to come together as well, is a bit sad to see.

The incentive to get to end-gear and the mindset of having to "earn it" (lol) would've probably faded away too much, when casuals were allowed to experience some features among themselves, without those chosen ones feeling they wouldn't deserve it, because they didn't waste away their life to be elligible to have fun in a PVP minigame, that could be serving those players perfectly as well.

This reddit thread from a couple of years back clearly makes the case and shows the different mindsets. I guess this won't ever change. I just hoped there is a chance, as the game got much less grindy and more casual friendly, even with a free version. I hoped there was a case to be made about serving casual players nowadays.

I was just trying to explain how to alleviate this situation using what's available to us now. We've all been through the grind. And BDO was originally marketed as a "hardcore" mmorpg, and despite how much more appealing BDO has gotten to casual players, it still retains some hardcore aspects, like the endless grind and almost limitless gear-progression.

In today's BDO, to be competitive in PvP, you have to grind, sadly. Gear doesn't come easy without some serious RNG carry, and gear + skill is what makes you relevant in PvP. You may be right, OP, that this is the way the devs intend it to be, for better or for worse.

I'm in full support of PvP content to appease those in your GS range. We play a video game, so "fun" must be first priority, IMO. Locking "fun" behind a gear-wall to an extreme degree is a bit off-putting, even to me, at gear levels that is able to compete in big boi RBF. I'm not sure what content will be best, if it's a capped RBF, all stats would need to be capped...we all know about the Chimera Earring / Kaia Necklace "exploit" in T1's. That shouldn't be a thing if fairness is what we're after.

One thing that might help "solve" this is if they gave guilds the ability to do a private RBF (rent it with silver, or just randomly pop in, whatever) and ability to select which team to join.  The guild could then decide what rules they want their members to follow, and (mostly) balance things that way.

Capping certain stats is complicated.  Do you do a AP cap?  How does that affect glass cannon builds, is that fair to them?  What about a DP cap, how does that affect my ability to use my Shai?

Yes, this is a great suggestion as well. I was thinking about this as a compromise, as well.
