The artifact and lightstone system had a strong start but I like many others have been disappointed on how hard and more importantly unfair it is to obtain certain lightstones. The main lightstone that many I know are upset about is the Lightstone of Fire: Strike. I've spent tens of billions of silver opening Purified Lightstones and never got a Strike. This is absolutely unfun to keep opening these and getting duplicates of rare lightstones I can't sell. For example, as of writing this, I have 9 vines sitting at minimum price I'm unable to sell. It's also a bad feeling to finally get a PO on a rare lightstone such as Shadows or Blade (after gambling tens of billion silver) then finally get one to drop from a Purified Lightstone from continuing to gamble for strike, but still no strike lightstone. Lightstone of Fire: Strike is also too overpowered compared to the other lightstones. It's believed it may be a bigger damage gain than obtaining multiple pen accessories (for some classes), which is why everyone wants it. Below image shows how incredibly rare this is and how incredibly desired it is. There are literally 1000s of players waiting for a PO that will never be filled because they were unlucky like me.
Suggestion: Please implement recipes to create the Strike lightstone, even if it involves using other rare lightstones such as Blade or Shadows. Simple alchemy recipe for example; Combine lightstone of fire: blade and lightstone of fire: shadows to get Strike. Remove the price cap on Strike as well. The image I attached indicates Strike is too rare based on the crazy amount of POs and very small number of sales. This is a clear outlier/problem with the lightstone system.

The way prices & rarities are now, the system seems to actually want you to gamble many thousands of stones until you get a rare one. But is that even worth it?
It is not cost-effective to ever sell a lightstone that is actually good, so they will very rarely ever sell to market. Even basic stones are practically worthless. I get unidentified lightstones, and it doesn't matter if I make an effort to identify them or if I just list them directly to market in their raw form - they just sit and don't sell because so few people are willing to engage in this system to gamble. It is just unreasonable and the numbers don't add up.
At the very least, they could make it more painless to gamble the stones at a very fast speed with very few clicks. It is not only expensive, it is also frustratingly inconvenient.
Yes, I agree with this.
Seems that the Lightstone system was designed first and foremost to be a huge silver sink, with a new layer of RNG on top of the already existing ones.
Just get luckier /s
Step 1. Accept your luck level
Step 2. Open purified untill you get what you need.
Step 3. Lie on reddit/game chat how you get in from 1st stone.
Step 4. Spam your lie everywhere so PA decide to lower chance because its looks like its to high and lots of people getting it left and right ( noone need proofs anymore anyway).
Step 5. End up in world where drop rates are 0.
Another feature that was added to the game that is considered "not fun" because they somehow think dumb high RNG adds months of gameplay with minimal development effort? Color me shocked! Shock I tells you! /s
For having the largest gaming studio in Korea, PA sure seems to act like they're the smallest and least experience in understanding good game design.

Well they neither experienced nor understand it, so that not really surprising here.
Also they aren't even the largest in KR.

Re-reading thew news article I don't know what to make of it. Have they built the largest game studio or largest art design studio? Seems different websites report it slightly different but different enough to make it confusing.
I assume this doesn't involve EVE Online? You know, they should just buy Tera too. But knowing them, Elin would get censored which would completely push away their remaining audience lol!
