Interesting to see that they did not only included Elvia spots, but also infinite potions and SP grind spots.
Anders showed in his last video how it works on the Glab. It's not really an entire private channel, like how we could have thought it could be.
When you activate the instance, you are then phased and physically limited to the spot where you activated it, so you cannot freely travel from spot to spot as long as the timer is running, but you can seemingly activate / deactivate it, kinda like a loot scroll.
Of course it can change by the time it's released on live servers.

Meoww, the Cat remains true to his forum signature attitude here - I agree with him. Bring the instancing to a broader scale and I´ll be gone. Not that anyone will miss me, I know (qq).
But this is the one signature of this game that it´s NOT a stupid, instanced 100.th WoW clone.
Why do you choose BDO if you prefer a different playstyle? And why do you then try to turn this game around to your liking? You got oh-so-many alternatives on the market.
INSTANCES SUCK. THEY BREAK IMMERSION - LIFE HAS NO MAPS AND LOADING SCREENS. INSTANCING SPLITS THE PLAYERS. IT MAKES THE WORLD APPEAR (EVEN MORE) DEAD. INSTANCES PROMOTE SOLO PLAY EVEN FURTHER. ALLOW THE GAME TO BE DRIVEN BY PLAYERS! NO TO INSTANCES!
Yes, that was all in caps cause I am fricking done with every single mmorpg trying to copy wow´s mediocre premises whilst games like Lineage 2 were way ahead of this back in 2002 already.
1 hour per day. This is what makes a whole difference, and you can add the fact that it covers many interesting spots.
In the end, for me it was the best answer they could make, and a funny one :
"Come and play, and if you are addicted to the game despite the fact that there's a part you really hate : TOO BAD! We'll feed your addiction, put restrictions and if you want to lift them, PLAY THE REAL GAME".

i dont get that instanceed thing, no1 really cares about immersion. 1st impression, probably but at the end its all about gameplay.
I barely play bdo anymore I will maybe try grind orcs 1h if I can make at least 400m/h consistently (I'm a slacker I won't try hard on running circles).
Wish it was either you can pre teleport there and spawn wonsters then the countdown starts, I don't want to prepare then teleport and have game crash cuz, you it does it from time to time in loading screens.
or Just maybe 1h 15min or 1:30?

It's disappointing we cannot do this with a friend/s.
For seemingly a fleeting moment a year or so ago Pearl Abyss was moving in the right direction for an MMO, and working on slowly adding more content that we can enjoy with our guild/friends/others. But that time has now clearly passed.
It's a real shame, once again such missed potential. But I guess that perhaps more than anything else sums up Black Desert: Missed Potential. Don't get me wrong of course on the whole I thoroughly enjoy the game, but an average joe could see that with a differring of priorities from PA (and more of a 'yes' attitude) Black Desert could turn into a game that surpasses all others in terms of quality content.

trying it out on global lab for now the problem I have with it is the grind area is not properly delimited, you can enter but I don't get where it ends
need to play with other player to figure that out

-nope you have to physically move to the area's entrance, you can be guided there though

Instanced PVE would make grinding for profit a lot easier since you cannot have people griefing you and trying to take your spot. I just wish they wouldn't limit it to 1h per day.

honestly - this is really kind of baffling . . .
as far as i know the devs don't want to have PVE servers but
- they have the Olivia starting servers that are PVE
- they have the seasonal servers that are PVE
- and now they are going to let us play for '1 hour only a day' PVE
just make the PVE servers already. and of course keep normal PVP servers for those who like it so they can enjoy the game too. adjust numbers of servers to match populations.

Good change all around I hate pvp and I will be using this all the time daily at orcs I can make at least 500mil silver 100% without interption. And I work and still no life this game I wouldnt say im hardcore but I put a decent amount of time in it I enjoy BDO for combat and If i can pve without no interuptions and still chat on discord with friends I'm all for it
lol there is no pve in bdo. Imagine running around hitting moving training dummies so that you can gear up to run around in a circle and hit more moving training dummies. Actual labotomy.
