PA is actively killing PvP in this game.
NW is dead. It is rare to have an unscripted fight that is fun.
Siege.. lets just say the servers are not capable of the grandeur that PA envisioned with siege mechanics.
Open-world PVP is rare. It is either a High GS player-killing Gearlets for fun. GvGs are rare and with upcoming changes it will be completely dead.
Season RBF is fun but everybody graduates and then it dies.
Regular RBF .. fun I guess if you like suffering.
Arena of Solare (I have high hopes) but I already saw two kunos struggling to chip one succ nova.
I also don't know if just one potential fun system when the game is advertised and attracts people with its combat system is healthy for the game.
RBF if filled with the so called 700+ GS players, and actually most players in RBF have full PEN caphrased and they still cannot even 1 v 5 the 700+ gear score players.
That's why this games PvP is a meme, 5 people with 630+ GS cannot even touch a single person with 700+ gs.
You can actually die harder in real life than you die in BDO.
If someone stabs you with a knife, you will need seconds or even minutes until you die, while in BDO you are dead in 1 second with just 1 hit.
Usualy games are unrealistic and you need to get a lot of damage / hits / bullets until you die, but in BDO is the exact opposite.
With just 1/2 hits you die.
So you're deliberately going where the 700gs+ are, to then complain about meeting them, when you barely meet them in open world and an equalized arena is coming?
Sadalsuud I fail to understand why it Prokaizer fault? This a perfect example why PVP is just a dead fish out of water in this game. The gear gap to partake in PVP is to massive an the grind wall needed to close that gap is too high. You act like it other people's fault for not playing BDO 3 years ago, when reality is its this game's fault for having a garbage gearing/state system. If I que into RBF I shouldn't be laughed out of it because I haven't dedicated 10k hours grinding PVE content. New players looking to just enjoy this game's PVP come into this game que for RBF than get clapped so hard that they lose all interest in this game an quit, but with your stupid logic it their fault for not playing BDO 5 years ago and falling behind the ridiculous gear curve.
BDO PVP now a days is like if you could join into the middle of a league of legends match were your still lvl 1 an everyone else is lvl 15 with all their items bought. The end result is no matter how skilled you are your still beyond useless an have zero chance of winning.
PvP used to be the "reward". Like, you grind your butt off, get RNG carried, play the game, learn it, learn how to efficiently earn income to progress to then EARN yourself strength in PvP. BDO is an MMO, is it not? You grind, grind, grind, for a reward -- in other games, it's a higher tier raid....in BDO, it's PVP.
It seems nowadays, people either forgot that aspect, or are just too lazy and want instant gratification.
IMO, with BDO's combat system, it doesn't make sense to not have accessbile, fun, rewarding, PvP. This is what Arena of Solare is for, I'd assume. Finally, I cannot wait until they iron out it's flaws (primarily class balance). Super exicited and anticipating it, anxiously.
But it needs to stand that BDO is an MMORPG. An MMORPG that is focused on grinding. For what purpose? PVP. You don't even need much gear to PVE in BDO. Gyfin underground, Ash, Olun, Crypt -- the only spots you need actual gear to grind. And Centaurs makes as much, or more, silver with Season gear. Hence, you don't need much gear to PVE. But --- You absolutely NEED gear to be competitive in PVP.

It is his fault for not taking the game into consideration.
Not all tournaments are supposed to balance confrontation, BDO devs never announced that RBF was equalized, if you go there, you know what to expect.
Moreover, in owpvp you don't magically meet only those 700+GS players, you will mainly meet players who are under this GS, depending on the spot.
Last but not least, there's an equalized arena coming really soon. Good time to complain, mmh?
So no. Gearing takes time in BDO, that's not a surprise and that's a gamedesign choice.
And yeah. His fault.

Hmmm, I was going to say something but then I saw who was talking. And just thought to myself, never mind. He did say it was the player fault for falling behind the 10k hour grind wall. And then I thought to myself. Yep them people really want BDO's PvP scene to die on that hill. RIP!

"He" did not say that. But without that dishonesty, you couldn't make such an answer, right?

But gearing always took time in BDO, and BDO is still alive. Your argument fall flat.

BDO is still alive, true. But the PvP scene is so dead. That it's pretty much became a scripted play. Where the powerful dictate who fight who and on what node. Also have you seen RBF numbers these days. That's not what I would call a thriving PvP scene.
As of right now outside of T1s. PvP in BDO is a luxury only afforded to the top 1% of geared players. If you think that's healthy. Then I have no words for that type of thinking.

RBF have about half the population it had before the reworks/valencia RBF release.
IDK which one caused the massive drop(as they happened nearly at the same time), probably both contributed but yeah it's kinda in a sad state.

That fact that this is true, an people like Sadalsund still defend the rediculus gear gap by making claims that it easy to reach PVP ready gear in 1 month of playing, an that its some how new players fault for wanting to just enjoy the game PVP for what it is well it just sad. Idk who he trying to convice at this point maybe himself. No one going to spend 10k hours doing something they don't enjoy doing just so that one day maybe if RNGues blesses them enough maybe they'll have the GS needed to then partake in the content they actually want to play. No, normal people will just lol uninstall the game an go to one that doesn't require them to waste a full year of their life. Thus why PVP is dying in this game, an thus why I my self want PVP to die in this game despite enjoying PVP content I actually want this game's PVP to die because PVP in this game is a complete joke an majority of this game's community knows it.
