I'm playing BDO since it was launched on Steam, so it's been 4 years now. At this point I'm at the high tier regarding GS, so I am fully focused on PvP as the rest of the content is already "done" for me.

Since the "big change" in node wars, I've seen the PvP content in the game slowly decline, and less and less people are active PvP players right now, as unless you are part of a big and powerful guild / alliance, you can barely join the node wars. For example, I am currently on a guild with 32 members, around 20-25 active on every NW, so what can we do to enjoy the PvP content of the game? We cannot have even fights with nodes capped to 40 people (40 vs 20-25 is never even), so the only thing we can do right now is to join an Alliance or disband the guild and massive join another guild.

Both things are pretty hard, as my guild is spanish and not everyone speak english, not only to join an active community but also to be able to follow caller orders during NW. The result is that many people are giving up playing, others have gone to stronger or more crowded international guilds, and some others are still trying to find a plausible solution. On the other hand, there are many guilds that don't play NW anymore, they just try to snipe to be able to play sieges on saturdays. And even with that in mind, as many nodes are capped is still hard to many people to enjoy.

How can Pearl Abyss fix this problem?

Well, first of all it would be to introduce more PvP content to the game, like the ranked arenas that have been talked about so much. But I think it's also essential to adapt node wars to current game conditions and players, and here are my suggestions:

- Let smaller guilds play node wars: we need some nodes capped to 30 people, for example, instead of only 40-50.

- People now has higher GS than before, so the equipment cap shall be raised or removed.

- Fix current PvP shortcomings like super armor desync (you can get knocked down due to desync even if you are on super armor, as the enemy don't "see" you on this state).

- Get a REAL class balance. Nowadays it's horrible to see 50% of an enemy guild with just zekers, for example (the same happened in the past with the Musa rework).

I don't know if any of you guys agree with me or if have any additional suggestion, but I think it'd be nice if Pearl Abyss give a little of love to PvP content of the game.

The problem is that it's PA's "love" which caused those issues in the first place. If they would've not touched it, the PvP would've died much slower than it is dying currently cause their random changes made by developers who doesn't even play the game.

Because they barely add anything new to it, all they do is just make balance changes or caps that generally don't solve the issue. It's stale and boring and needs some major additions or new stuff. So people don't have lost incentive over time to bother with it. 

The reason why PvP is in decline in BDO. Is mainly the same reason why PvP is on the incline for competitive eSports titles. The bar of entry is too high in BDO 650+ GS or be fodder. The bar for entry in competitive eSports titles is very low, just be more mechanically skilled and knowledgeable about the game.

I mean my steam has clocked over 10k hours in BDO. And I'll just reaching the 600GS mark. Which is still not good enough to be a factor in BDO's PvP. Now think about it. How many people do you think going to find it fun. Getting smashed by a 3+ year gearcarried player who is getting outplayed. But because of the gear gap, out playing such of foe is harder than one tapping a T10 horse.

Meanwhile in other thriving PvP scenes. Players are rerolling account to play with friends. Which on these new accounts these players are still dumpstering accounts with massively more time grinded than theirs. 

I'm just saying. There is a reason for the sharp rise in competitive eSports titles. While at the same time there was a sharp decline in interest in gear base Grinder MMOs. Name me one Gear Grinder MMO that is in the top 25 list of games. And I can name you over 10 competitive eSports titles that are in the top 15.

It's pretty simple what this means. We are some of the last of the Grinder generation of Gamers. Gamers these days are mostly only interested in fair and skill based PvP. Not the style of PvP we grew up on. We are simply becoming dinosaurs, and will either have to adapt to the new environment. Or will have to find our enjoyment outside of multiplayer gaming.

Capped node wars and sieges exist which makes those gear statements completely redundant.

Gear is not the reason why people are losing interest in PvP. They have made it more accessible even, the reason why people are losing interest is that it has become stale, boring, and the balance changes rarely worked because the devs don't do this content.  The op is specifically talking about node wars with his guild, and attendance issues. 

Basically, the options are there and they exist for people without endgame gear. But there are not enough people to fill that area, so they cant do that content properly. 

Yeah gearing isn't the problem, but the terrible balance is.

And not to mention that ppl still can just abuse fps to gain huge advantage over others...

That is true. "If the PvP was so great you wouldn't have to beg people to do it." But we all know that most of the players left playing BDO. Activitly tries to avoid PvP. Because more so than not. PvP engagements in BDO are boring one sided fights. Normally when the aggressor knows they can dominate their prey.

Ah yes, the manditory minecraft graffix & unlocked fps in order to be able to compete in nw and siege. great isnt it.

Spring is always a slow time for node wars.

Especially when the weather is beautiful outside. I have never burned so much in 3 years.

Personally, in NA we don't have much issue at my level.

the current Meta or the older one.  50/50

When the game was 95% Wizard/witch for over 4 years did not bother us much. Stop taking the meta as an excuse. ^^
Changing the meta isn't going to make you any happier.

There has never been so much class diversity today. We're a long way from the Mandatory Alt Wizard of a year ago.

There will always be change. Zerk will get nerfed as the meta shifting cycle demands, and you'll have another class take over.
