MMOs and MMO players have a twisted view of PVP. You can't compare overworld gearlet stomping to real PVP like fps, fighting games, and rts. If you want real PVP you need to ask for better PVP 1v1 and Team modes where theres free rank and rank lobbies with and without gear caps. I've seen some people post about it here before, PVP modes should be a real 3rd way of progressing along with PvE and Lifeskills.

That's one example showing that everyone will try to put his own list of priorities and blame the game when it is not treated like one would expect.

And what do you know about high GS players' opinions ? Do you know them all? What makes you think that they're not happy of having more decent opponents in the future? 

There's a clear distinction between small topics and big topics whether it's here or on reddit etc... The discussions are enormous and have been going on for years and years where it's a serious concern that is left ignored. Sure, we can all make our own list of priorities but the problem is that PA doesn't have a priority other than pure profit. They took what? 3 years to release a mediocre / incomplete DLC? The map is small, the assets are reused, and the textures are like 16 x 16 for a lot of it. The graphics are supposed to look better than previous zones because that's how games are, but instead it looks worse. The story while a step in the right direction is an atrocious experience especially if you are new to the game since you don't even fight something for the first hour or something.

As for gameplay, nothing new was introduced, it was mainly a story expansion with a narrator that sounded like he was reading from a children's book.

They could fix desync, but they haven't. Desync is arguably the #1 priority right now because it makes the game feel awful. You can't have good PvP, you can't go out sailing without problems, you can't expand on sea content if you wanted to without first fixing this. Pretty much everything hinges on fixing desync but they never addressed the issue. But they do add new pointless classes.

How many things have they talked about that they would introduce to the game, only for it to be delayed or cancelled? Climbing? Ocean content? Workers 2.0? Caravans? Ice fishing? Mount overhaul? etc.... There's also another expansion that was supposed to release last year, so we're waaay behind on getting new content.

You can blame covid like every company that misses projections / deadlines like to do (dog ate my homework excuse) but it didn't change game development by more than a couple of weeks for most companies. It hardly had an effect on companies that permitted work from home unless the staff was just lazy and didn't do the work they were supposed to do which happens and it might be the majority since pre-covid every major company that was doing work from home had to stop since employees were slacking.

99.9% of the MMORPG market is casual, prefer PvE and don't want to deal with people's BS. They just want to sit down from a long's day work and enjoy themselves. PvP isn't fun in this game and never will be because it's never been designed to be. It's a PvE game with some PvP elements and that's bad. They need to focus their attention on player retention and making the game more accessible and enjoyable even if it makes open world PvP players upset for a little while.

PvP needs its own game mode so to speak with its own progression system with its own gear system that isn't backed by RNG mechanics but rather SKILLS and player participation need to be required, not voluntary when they queue for it. Joining PvP just to watch youtube videos and gain XP is not good for anyone but the leech.

Sure, there's a lot to fix in the game but I think they need to refocus their strategy for tailoring the player experience for optional PvP and fixing Desync. You are free to disagree and rebute what I said but at least that's my stance for the time being.

Pretty much this. The balance is dogshit, and the devs are totally incompetent, but not even care. Just look at their failure reboots. It only ended up being worse, and they don't give af.

Like look at zerkers, literately outrun horses while being perma protected kek. The combat in this game is a meme.

How can you be so wrong. It is fun. Its the reason for some players to keep plaing BDO. Yes it has its problems, but its the cherry of the game. Ofc for some and many. You just have stop thinking only from your point. But sadly for you, what you want is mainstream game, and BDO was never designed to be one. Changing it might be dangerous. All it need now is more PvP options. Both instanced and open world.
