its been two whole years the post and nothing has been done about it i would like to hear the reason behind the decision to not show numbers on main server. if someone has a link with devs adressing that issue i would like to see it.

Even if not in the open world, having it enabled in BA would be a good addition for testing purposes, similar to how enemies protections are shown.

No we need it in open world aswell, i wanna see my damage while i grind, it gives a core mmorpg player satisfation to see numbers, they keep losing players because of this and im just almost leaving the game after 6 years because they gave me false hope when they added it to global test servers they need to give us a reason to not add numbers other than some immersion crap..

I support having the option.

I would never turn it on for myself, but I support having the option for people who crave it.

I used to really care about seeing numbers all over my screen; I've played MMOs and looter ARPGs for years. But then I got used to BDO, and the lack of numbers, while feeling jarring at first, eventually became my preference. MMO screens and BDO especially, have enoug visual clutter without adding numbers as well. I cannot enjoy games today like Destiny 2 because there is no way to disable their floating combat text numbers. I want to see the weapon effect first and foremost, not have it covered by ugly numbers. My personal preference for hiding damage numbers has become that strong now.

I can read BDO PvE Damage - Google Docs

So I can already learn all the details of how damage works in the game, without me needing to see the numbers on screen for every attack while I play. And the numbers are just visual clutter with unnecessary info for me, because seeing a bunch of numbers on screen will not change what I am doing when I already know enough to make my decisions in play. I even have attack decisions disabled as well because I already know if I am back attacking, because I am attacking their back, or else I am not - why need a pop-up to tell me what I know? Just like I know I am doing damage when I see their HP bar plummet after a strike.

But, like I said - I really don't mind if the option to show damage numbers is made available for the people who feel like they want it. Just please don't force me to turn them on because I do not want them for me. For you, fine; but for me, no. As long as it's optional let's do it.
