Getting huge fame locks in game. This is different to FPS. Even changing graphics setting has next to no change on my FPS but it has and effect on fame lock (this is not CPU bottle necking wait till you see images). (Frame lock happens when the card its 100% -displayed in the graphs around 90-95% marks for spikes, as the graph is a time average)
-Note, I don’t not have auto sort active.
-No recoding going on when taking graph screen shots.
-No web browser open.
I don’t know if black desert requiers a higher graphics card than I have or if I’m is broken?
I have a 1080 (not a TI)
I have to play in remastered mode while recorindg, while pvping. I expected issues and was planning an upgrade. But today I wanted to just have some fun PvP and that's when I saw there was an issued unless I took it all the way to low. I play the game for it's 'pretty'
So I guess you need a 1080 ti to pvp on low setting?
What do I need to record in re mastered while in PVP (RBF) 1080p? Please don’t just say the most expensive card you can find :P if I was going to do that, I would not be here for advice :P
Maybe there are others with the same set up and requirements and can tell me how things are running for them, what card they use?
Not a steamer, I only record. - i want to stick with Nvida GPUs
(graphs will show you here my bottle neck is)
gpu graph is the small box bottom left, the big center graph is CPU
GPU Remastered
GPU Med
GPU Low
FPS Remsaterd
FPS Med
FPS Low
FPS Ultra
My advice wait for next gen, its comming this year probably around july maybe slightly after, when amd bring there stuff out aswell will knock back the pricing abit. To late on a generation right now you really dont want to waste money on something thats a generation old after a few months( more support for you :D)
1080ti has a few issues aswell mines oced an also having simlar symptoms
Edit: for reasoning behind waiting you can also get a better gpu for cheaper if you cant afford buying brand new since people will be switching

noticed that... not getting what i would called value for money for £500-800.. above that amout , well i might as well look at clearing my currnet computer loan and getting a new build.. and i wanted to put that off. was hoping to get another or two year out of what i have.
and i think the problem here is, i built a work comptuer for rendering... now im a full timer gamer :P
I recently purchased an RTX 3090 with my new machine, have had black screen crashes ever since when playing BDO. I have been told that BDO software may not be up to spec for newer GPUs . . .

all input is helpful ty :) will try to keep an eye on your issue, see what happens there. feel free to post about it again if you make any progress
Nice graphs. I meant to do more research on game´s performance but I am too lazy to do it for this fading GPU gen so here are just some random thoughts:
Pearl Abyss was specifically partnering with AMD to be one of the first to introduce FSR to their game and their implementation is pretty good.
That might suggest you could be better off with an AMD GPU in this game, just saying (I know you wanna stay with NVIDIA but I still suggest re-evaluation at least with the next GPU gen, both NVIDIA and AMD are not what they used to be IMHO).
It certainly suggests that you should try out FSR since you are playing on Remastered anyways, have you already? Any setting below "Ultra Quality" will probably be shitty due to the 1080p resolution but Ultra FSR should be alright and the positive FPS impact is pretty nice.
I played BDO with a 1080TI till around Christmas but I would not go Remastered back then for the FPS were not consistent enough (and that was despite me not PVPing due to severe gear farming lazyness). I am now on an overclocked 6900XT and doing day2day gameplay on ULTRA graphic setting, the only tolerable quality in this game, plus FSR "Quality" subjectively nicely. Wouldn´t PVP on it though since it´s < 100 FPS. But FPS stability seems good yet it might be partially due to the ZEN3D CPU I am using now which helps softening bottlenecks (but that won´t be a worthwhile upgrade for your current system).
Bottom line: I cannot help really but also suggest to wait with upgrading till early fall. And don´t buy NVIDIA right away even if you wanna stick with them no questions asked cause new AMD GPUS which could be a month later or so should impact NV pricing...
wait october and try to buy rtx 4 if your are rich shai ^_^

For the amd part about it being more focused in on, i think that could be accurate considering before PA worked with Nvidia for a very long time (before transfer from kaskow to pa) , then all of a sudden there has bwen a very big emphasis aiming towards amd, either way there is competition between amd an nvidia which is a good thing, but that could also mean nvidia could rope PA towards them again at a later point if its seen profitable by nvidia

Interesting thought , if PA do more with AMD, ty.
I think i tired FSR and didn’t like it, very 'smudged' like I’m playing with some Photoshop filters on. Not good for filming and it made me feel uncomfortable playing the game.

Although i would love to do that, if i end spending more that 500-800 Euro pounds, then I might as well look at my computer loan and plan a full rebuild for the next few years of play.
And even that, not too impressed with what i get for (mid)2k or (silly)4k (for 3 year computer)
Wanna put off a full rebuild for now as prices seem in flux.
