Just thinking how neat it would be if PA made an instanced mode that involves groups of people. I know, i know, "RBF".. But i kinda want to see one that doesn't involve players trying to murder eachother.
Something like a time attack mode where players would take turns doing rotations. Each lap records a players time and amount of targets killed. At the end of a lap the next player takes their turn. Once all laps have been finished, the game will then calculate who had the highest kills per minute. Whoever has the highest wins and gets extra rewards. Then the game will move on to the reward distribution phase. Each player will be given a certain amount of loot calculated by total monsters killed by the player * the amount of players participating in the match. The winner will have their drops modified as if they had a %drop amount and/or %drop chance buff.
There could also be a single player version where there's no winner and uses up Marni's Realm time, but lap time and kills will be recorded and ranked for people to see. Devs could also use that data to keep track of classes that struggle in PvE.
*edit*
I see the idea is unpopular for some, but a simple dislike doesn't really explain why it's a bad idea. Would you all mind explaining the exact points you disagree with or explain why such a feature would be so bad?
I've browsed though comments ingame, in forum, and in reddit. People keep complaining about the lack of group content. The players complain that they want group content but once any specifics are described they act like they never cared for it in the first place and say that it's a waste of time.
Ranks for 1 hr mobs kill count would be cool
To me this is meaningless.
To me this is meaningless.
well we're already playing BDO
I don't think I'd use this feature. I grind very haphazardly and casually, preferring to grind 3 hours relaxed, rather than 2 hours intensely.
But the idea is neat. It could be cool for the game to actually measure "this is all the loot you got while in Marni Realm" and keep a small leaderbaord of the best hours ever at each grindspot, to showcase some real data of what the optimal result can really be.
It is a meaningless thing to chase and look at, but that sort of thing is exactly what will grab some people and ignite their passions - I mean, character level is meaningless too but people keep chasing that as well.
If it's easy to implement, why not? go for it and see if anyone starts to care about it. It can't really hurt, no?
