This is unacceptable.  Shais only advantage on such a long cooldown destroys the effectiveness of the class.  Is it really such a  bad thing that striker isn't #1 at every grind spot?   

disgusting to remove the core ability of a class like that and waste so many players time who were working and looking forward to it.

my friend who played the game for 6 years quit because of the shai neglect a few months ago, looks like she made the right decision.

F Pearl Abyss! I wish I had never paid actual money for this stupid game. Every time I invest my time into something that I like in BDO, they go around and change it to the point that I hate it. Next they'll make skateboard have a 2 minute cooldown. Thanks, I hate it.

They put decensorship behind drakania's panty box which was infurating AND that's only a chance to decensor.

They removed her florang from a $40 outfit

They call her a lifeskill class but what exactly does she shine at? Skateboarding for meat maybe?

She's too short to jump to certain places and IDK if there is any secret spots for Shai but there are plenty for tall people who can jump

The only thing that she's good at is buffs and they're messing with that

I should probably go back to leveling drakania for that panty box and then retire for a while. The decisions made by PA is pissing me off too much lately and I think I need to just enjoy better designed games. At this point I expect 0 new content and only aggravating changes.

Her talent weapon is absolutely useless with these changes. Think about it, the reason you get her talent weapon to pen is so you get an additional 15% for your buffs and debuffs. Now with this change it really only affects attack/casting speed/movement speed and reducing the enemy's movement speed. The best part is with a PEN sol she is only providing 5% more attack speed than what Witch provides and if it's under TET then it's worse. 

What a fucking joke. Intentionally design their awakening spec around the talent weapon. Then tell shai players who want a black star NO because the class is supposed to be unique and have a talent weapon. Then proceed to destroy the primary skill that takes advantage of her talent weapon being enchanted. The most fucked up thing is that the devs don't see anything wrong with the change, they say yea we know it hurts but its ok it's not the end of the class move along.

Absolutely disgusting. I didn't think they'd actually go though with something so stupid. 

They actually nerfed Shai in PVE AND PVP because it was overperforming at one grind spot.

Personally I've never understood why they didn't give Shai the same amount of abilities/skills as all the other classes. It makes no sense to me that she doesn't have a full PvE kit just because she has bonuses for lifeskilling. I actually never knew this was the case for her for the longest time until my brother tried the game and wanted to play one to be a support class, but when I found out I was shocked and thought it was pretty disappointing. I'd like to see them re-visit Shai and give her a proper set of skills so she can actually participate more in combat content.

Are there any Shai players that actually do prefer that she doesn't have a lot of skills?

This has been an ongoing thing with Shai since the class was announced. I get the distinct feeling that there are two warring factions at PA who hold strong opinions regarding this race of little girls (and occasional annoying boys): one thinks they're a meme completely undeserving of anything but perma-gatherer status, and the other wants them to be just any other class, with all the same PvP and PvE routines to go through.

Sometimes one side gains the upper hand - at other times, the inverse occurs. But they'll never agree... and neither one holds total sway over the other. So the result is that you see these massive swings in the utility of the Shai, without ever producing a wholly satisfactory result.

Frankly, there's a reason my Shai is 56 and will never be touched again (despite having a collection of just PHENOMENAL costumes available to her that I would love to dress her up in), and it has everything to do with this bipolar oscilation between 'decent' and, well... 'this.' And that latter status is never - EVER - going to be an acceptable risk for me to take on in a game where completely investing in a class means an enormous input of time and real-world money.
