[Concerns – Guild Wars] posted in [GM Notes] Development Preview – Drakania Awakening and Improvements; I do not agree with this system proposal but I feel that Pearl Abyss well implement a similar system regardless. Because so many adventures are enjoying the decreased open world pvp mechanics currently added to the game.
If this actually happens (which I do not agree with). Atleast make it to where only "warring guilds" can participate in Node Wars and Siege. It would help reduce the number of guilds that place on Node Wars and Siege (sticks) that has no intention of actually fighting and participating in wars. Part of the issue with Siege/NW is clearing all of the non participating guilds prior or after the actual fight.
In the development preview post and few paragraphs up it talks about how pop ups ruin adventures immersion. But I feel having to clear sticks out ruins immersion of a serious fight. Example 8 guilds are actively participating in siege, but 8 to 10 guilds placed sticks for funds or for blocking opponents from taking desired fort locations as defense tactic.
