I care about about group stuff. Should make more Solo Zones DUO optional. So what if BM or ORCs drop loot for two. Yeah u will make more in parties but that doesnt mater. Should be able to share the trash together. But i will say this i see you everywhere in the fourms. Must say to me your a regular here i enjoy reading what you have to say next cat person. Bit of advice please co sign my next post we can beat this game together.
Many good mmo give you a choice: solo and party modes have the same content (eg. dungeons), but unfortunately when you are forced to party it won't work, especially when the content of the party is too difficult.
Like most people here i thought i preferred playing solo, and i still do in BDO. But when group content is good, it doesn't force you to play group content. Instead you're compelled to play group content. I can't count how many times i was just minding my own business when i notice other players trying to cause a PSE Burst. Something about it flips a switch in your brain and returns you to monke. You can't help but join the hunt.
Completely agree with Hockey. Good group content makes you want to join in on the fun. A lot of single-player minded players in BDO are sucked into this antisocial mindset because of the solo grind. Solo grind is the main way to make income in game and when someone interrupts that grind it obviously makes the grinder upset. Ergo other players are automatically the enemy. But when I was on season servers I enjoyed doing Seasonal Rifts with random people. We all got rewards and the more people who participated, the more chances for loot there was.
Group content doesn't have to be dead to keep BDO alive. Honestly, if it's good content it'll make the game better.
Atoraxxian exists. Olun's exists - high money per hour spot. Mirumok exists - buffed money per hour and still one of the best levelling spots. Node war / Siege - This is group content.
I hear this posts gripes, and hell - why not introduce more compelling group content, I'm all for it --> If it's optional.
The thing that attracts me to BDO is the freedom to do what I want, when I want, and not having to depend on needing other people to achieve my goals. Other MMO's, where you need to raid for the BiS, are unappealing becuase it is forced group content.
Make group content in BDO better, make the silver competitive with other good spots in loot (I mean, Olun's and Mirumok exists) 100% for it, but at the same time, don't force it on the players. Allow us the freedom to do what we want, when we want when achieving our goals and not have to rely on needing other people. Not everyone enjoys the same thing and that's OK. I think BDO does a decent job at appealing to everyone's unique tastes, but at it's core -- the game places a heavy emphasis on individual player agency. So if you the type who needs your hand held by others, might not be your type of game.
