It sucks, whose bright idea was to implement it. It is mega immersion breaking.
Change it back to how it was and make the ships bigger instead.

Earlier last year or so, PA made a patch where your character is physically smaller when you're on a boat. iirc, you can see the shrinking happening when u jump into a boat.
So instead of making the boats bigger which is what OP is suggesting, currently your character becomes smaller to make the size of a boat seem bigger.

Yep remove shrinking on ship please it's stupid, nobody asked for it. Ruins immersion and has weird interactions with outfits, character animations etc.
