Why are we not able to use imperial delivery on tagged characters? My main is also my chef so I'm not able to utilize the tag system without sacrificing a major source of income. Is there a reason for this restriction? Will it be reviewed and removed at some point?
There was a reason for this, so that people couldn't move trade items and crates across a large distance with zero threat to the trade items. This was put in back when Trading and crates were the highest source of income. The silver per hour on those items hasn't changed they are still 10-20m per hour, but you can make that at any grind spot accidentally now.
Tag system need a penalty/inconvenience for using it.
If you want to avoid the inconvenience don't use your lifeskiller for tag.

No it doesn't. Don't be a moron.
I gave up on the tagged system because of the restrictions on trading/fishing turn-ins and also it doesn't let you use the Marco's Gear Bag. I part of the design of it was to tag an alt that's a life skiller to make it easier to jump between characters, but it looks like that's not the case.

I'm on the same boat: I have a main character that does everything including every existing lifeskill + grinding and all other characters are boss alts so I'm basically locked out of tagging. I'm fine with that however *shrugs*

There is a psudo workaround, roll an alt that is the same class as your main, put all your gear on the alt, tag a character to that alt and you can use the tagged character to grind. Yes you won't be able to grind on your main, but you will be able to fish and do imperial boxes while you have tagged gear. I do hope they change their mind on how tagging works, like not being able to log into the other character while the first one has any trade items.
Finally someone poiting out this. I have the main char both for grinding and lifeskilling and I can't sell imperial boxes and crates because of this bad system. For me it would cost a lot of irl money to just trasfer all the lifeskill to another char and buy new WL so sadly I'm forced to give up on some life skill.
The restrictions made sense when you used to have to manually bring crates from one place to another, but the trade wagon transport exists sooooo?? Like, we can safely transport basically anything now, it would be a QoL change to just allow it. Especially imperial trade in's like cooking/alchemy boxes.
Ah but if we allowed that, then people would be able to make the boxes on an an alt/load up crates on an alt, tag over to other character and safely transport the character! We can't have that! We could lose money or something!! Idk how exactly, but it's probably related/comes down to gearing out other characters with weight/inventory/life skill costumes or something, which they can't have!! :o
The continued locking of trading from tagged characters is most likely because they would lose money or something. People can breathe on the game and make more from what you would trading, and locking imperial out is just a big F-U to players.
-A player that tagged, item copied, then had to untag just to do imperial cooking deliveries..

Imperial delivery has no distance bonus. There is literally no reason for it to be disabled when tagged like regular trading.
