While i agree that the balance is a joke, Buff corsair and tamer? Seriusly?

Corsair is like Sorc, it can be protected 24/7.

Be careful, you're not precise enough here. 

Even I, as a tamer, would say that a awakened Tamer performance is pretty good based on this arena's settings, and succession tamer can be decent.

But there are some flaws in Tamer right now, which needs some serious changes (an efficient Heilang, hello ?) but Arena of Solare is not a situation where these flaws are obvious. So... What were you thinking precisely when you mentioned Tamer?

Wow, the amount of whining in this thread. PvE circle babies want the rewards from the event and are no longer GS carried in open world. Nerf everything balance everything... really? My boys this is an MMORPG. It's not supposed to be perfectly equalized and as you fail to understand it's why they made the arena 3v3 instead of 1v1.

How about this free advice. MAYBE... learn how to play your class and the game and don't expect to just walk in and nuke 3 players solo. Everyone has advantages and disadvantages. Ignoring them and crying will just lead to further failure.

I warmly suggest you just forget about PvP and return to grinding Centaurs if you can't deal.

Don't get me wrong, I think the equalized gear PvP arena is a great addition to the game, and something that should have been a part of it a long time ago. It's just that actually getting to participate in PvP like this highlights and emphasizes some of the glaring problems this game has as a PvP game, which is why I think it's unfair of you to dismiss anyone complaining as simply being bad or PvE babies or not knowing how to play.

Right off the bat, before even getting into class balance, there are some significant problems that cripple this game's potential as a legitimate PvP and competitive game. A few of the major ones being things like RNG CC (resistances), RNG attacks (accuracy, evasion), FPS based attack speed and general output thanks to people playing on potato graphics with high end hardware. I also personally think slows, and especially slow stacking, absolutely need to go and have no place in this format. CC resistances need to go, or if they're to stay, they should just provide a slight reduction on the duration and not an outright % chance to nullify the CC completely. Accuracy and evasion should be handled in a similar manner, perhaps with accuracy giving mini-crits that can stack with regular crits for a sort of 'super crit' (took this idea from FFXIV), and evasion could be somewhat of an inverse, as in, a reduction of the mini-crit chance, or even both crit chances/damage, obviously within reason. Also, I firmly believe frame rate absolutely needs to be capped to something reasonable to disincentive people playing on potato mode for a significant advantage. I think something like 120 FPS or 144 FPS is something most people could agree on being reasonable. Fighting games have a capped frame rate for everyone for a reason. I think an FPS cap should also at least slightly help alleviate desync issues too.

There's other issues that I could touch on too but I'm trying to get ready for work right now. For whatever it's worth too, I've brought my win rate above 50% at this point with some big win streaks but I still feel that the PvP as it stands right now doesn't function the way it needs to if it wants to be taken seriously. Arena of Solare is a great mode for some mindless fun but is a bit of a joke as a serious competitive game. I don't want it to go away but if it's going to be a ranked mode with exclusive rewards it needs a lot of work.

BDO actually has some of the worst PVP i have ever played. MEchanically and design it is all there it should be amazing but it's not its actual garbage. This is partly because the game engine performance is terrible and the fact by design all of the skills in BDO are just big AOE spam that do not interact with your target. Let me clarify in BDO all the animations are truncated because the engine is so terrible so most of the time you play on low resoution, enemy players warp all over instead of drawing their dash animations, same goes for their attack animation you see almost nothing. When I activate my "sword slash" i never see my sword actually make a swing and connect with the other player who then has a recoil animation because my sword just hit its model. Instead in bdo people will warp around i will stand 3 body lengths from you activate my "sword slash" which then does some big flurry no where actually in melee range your character will "get hit and take dmg" but nothing more than empty air as my sword never actually hit your character model. So much of BDO gameplay in PVP is premptively attacking and defending against literally nothing you spam your roation to keep your SA up constantly warping around in hopes you and your opponent get into that magical range where abilities connect. This is heavily augmented with grab fishing done the same way, spam rotoation keeping up SA hoping you dash in range of your oppoenent who is also warping around non stop and connect with your grab.

Compare that to Lost Ark where I will clearly see every movement and attack animation it is all smoth and fluid. When someone aggresses on me I see then coming and I can control my character accordingly. When they actually do successfully attack me I will see their character models and it's animation clearly indicate the area that the attack affects. If its a spell I will see a spell affect and know if i am not in it I will not get hit or in it I will get hit, if its a melee their weapon will swing at my character and if in range i will see the animation connect with my character including any visual effects. it is glorious and an incredibly skillful and rewarding experience because everything is clear to see and understand so i can learn and improve and also feel accomplished when i do everything correctly as I get the visual feedback confirming it. You get NOTHING visually to confirm much of anything that happens in bdo PVP. you just do your best to constantly try to control range while cycling abilities using your best guess and with experience making alot of assumption of what your opponent might do but you rarely see them and act accordingly. Much of it is just spewing out your rotation because there is such poor visual feedback you can't do it on command as needed based on what you see transpiring as like i said all the movement animations are truncated into popping in an out, theattack annimations and effects are also truncated often off for performance and evne when on they are these giant aoe atttack into the space ar  ound you not attack on the other players model.

BTW i am not a hater I love this game I think even with it's failures its still the most compelling mmo out, which is the sad part it could be soooo much better. that said the visual experience the PVP offers is absymal as far as interacting with other players and what you see occuring on your screen.

Since I'm really new to BDO PVP, do all them CCs have any diminishing returns, because I keep getting permacc to death, without any chance to do anything, at all. If I get jumped, no matter the v spam, you never get out, even vs classes that do less damage. I can just sit 15 sec spamming v or whatever other button without getting out of permacc. 

I been playing pvp games since MUDs were a thing and permacc always have been an issue with large scale fights, but having that vs 2-3 is a joke. A skilled player should be able to fight back, I'm not skilled, but at least get out of 15 sec cc in best cases. Best cases are 1 out of 50, because mostly I die in 2-3 seconds :)

I'm grateful you made this post and grateful it seems like people agree with you because it touches on things I also felt but couldn't think how to say or how to express. I feel I'm often not great with putting my thoughts and feelings into words, so thank you. I'm also with you on the not hating this game. I love BDO too and it's why I chose to come here and say something instead of just staying quiet, or quietly leaving. I honestly can't comprehend why someone would disagree with the things you mentioned as well as things I brought up in my post. Do people really prefer the PvP to remain in such a state that victory is heavily determined by RNG and other ridiculous factors as opposed to thoughtful decision making and reactive gameplay? I don't get why someone would just dismissively downvote posts that bring valid constructive criticisms up about the current state of things. I think these posts are important and could possibly lead to the game improving.
