ive been here since the start and im one of many with the same story

even with all the handout im still stuck grinding the same shitty places ive been grinding for the last year and its starting to bore the hell out of me and to think i still have to do the same shit again for blackstar and dead god armor

i think im over it.

i mean i like long drawn out games but being stuck in the same place for years is not progresion its boredom and im at almost full tet and thats what bothers me BDO offers nothing but endless rng it has no end game and pvp is a mess so why do we play

the pop in is ulgy and done so badly they dont balance anything and everything is behind RNG

did PA ever think the reason people leave is the RNG and piss poor game that surounds that rng wile handing out acc that people grindied for years to get and invaladating their work or should i say LUCK

Sorry for the rant i just want to progress when i get better gear not be told spend another 4 billion to go to a new area even tho u just went up 20 ap and 20 dp tuff shit back to wolves even tho u have 250ap

Im not going to try to change your mind because your background and opinion is valid. But if you can find it in your heart, look at it from another perspective. You have a vast open world with multiple activities that you can focus on and progress with. Grinding mobs is not the only way, especially if you play BDO as if life depended on it. If you can find those 2-3 activities and chores to slowly make 200-300 mill a day (which is my minimum every day) while finding happiness among fellow mates/guild, with occasional activities like nodewars, then this game has alot to offer that other mmos dont. Not to mention the combat and continous class release (ive yet to find my home-class, i hope for it to arrive one day, an option I dont find in other games..)

And while this game is costly for the average man, it also offers longveity, the developer has already tweaked the graphics once, they say they are in it for the 20+ years - how many devs/mmos can say that part from WoW, or that offer something similiar like BDO? And what calpheon ball 2020 roadmap offered shows promise on the horizon to the patient man who learns how to take occasional stops to smell the flowers and see the river flow.

At east you are not me, i loged in the game with the intention of cooking since my objective right now is reaching cooking guru, instead i am afk fishing because this fucking game thought it was a brilliant idea to lock cooking quests behind a rare fish that has a 1.4% catch chance, because ofc.

Then they come and ironically boast about "we dont want players to feel forced to do specific activities"

you can get a pen every few months just by turning some boxes, that's 30mins of play every day, for you to be still at TET, yeah you are not even playing the game anyway

Try another game for a while. Elder Scrolls Online is pretty good. It's very casual though so expect a different sort of experience.

I can agree with you on allot of your points but to me it´s not killing my love for mmo´s instead this game makes me apriciate and love all other mmo´s that don´t fuck up that makes their games fun. Heck I still love FFXIV,ESO,Tera,NW,RO,RF and so on.  Honestly the only reason I still play this game  now and then and I mean now and then like I spend maybe 80 hours on this game per year.


But I don´t care  about having the best gear or be rich or anything when I log in I do so to maybe fish a bit or be out on the sea. Sadly this mmo is the only good mmo if you want to go out saling and such.  Sure we have pirates of the burning sea or Uncharted waters online but both does games and almost dead and does not look as great. Also how many mmo´s lets you catch mounts adn breed them which I kind of enjoy also the hunting is rather fun. Plus the game looks great.  

So yeah this game for me is fun a few hours here and there doing life skills which is nice if you just want to winddown.  So I don´t see this game as a proper mmo instead more like Harvest moon with combat and other people to chatt with. 

Which quest are you talking about and which fish ?

Additionally, how does that quest locks you out of cooking and reaching your desired level ?

Since when is full tet considered not even playing the game. We got some real cave dwellers here :O
