Hi !

I recently came back to game a week ago, I was playing when it came out for 2 years, game was so different than it currently is.

I cannot get into the conversation as much as I would like to since obviously after so many years I forgot how mechanics work and I have been focusing on finishing the season since I started over, but there is one thing I can tell you about this issue;

I started playing the game when it was released in Europe, around March 2016 and I played non-stop for about 1 year and a half in a high end pvp guild, we were the first ones to take Calpheon when Node Wars were released, (They didn't get released with game). I've done mainly PVP in Black Desert all that time many years ago and the PVP in game hasn't changed a tiny bit.

Game always had balancing issues and it will always have them because balancing such a game with so many classes is impossible.

One shots will always be there, it doesn't matter your stats, it's how the game is and always have been.

This is what I was trying to say; Game has been in this state since release, the only way for it to change is a complete revamp of the pvp systems and stats systems, as someone already mentioned, and this isn't likely to happen. (If it hasn't happened already, I highly doubt it will happen)

Games that had these balance issues and had a revamp done to "fix" them had their playerbase drop and died shortly after, take Star Wars Galaxies as an example.

I really hope they make PvP more enjoyable since I came back and I would like to go into it again, but seeing you guys are saying that the one shots are still there is a bit discouraging.

low survivability is by design.  They want to make it easy for the whales to get kills.  Can't have those precious whales getting discouraged because of a skill gap and possibly quitting.  P2W games are all about RNG and low survivability for a reason.

Well to be fair it's not that hard to reach 309AP, and after that AP is pretty much irrelevant.

Also most FOTM classes can kill the overwhelming mayority of players even at much less AP. If anything buffing DP would help the whales as it would make it easier to shit on gearlets.

Exept that low survability is same for the whales, and they can die from even lower AP now. And now many people have enough AP...Its just a bad design, or a way to cover the problems with AP/DP scaling.
