First the music got all jacked up.  Then the soulless, zombie walk animations.  Now Igor Bartali looks old and sounds 40.  And Islin sounds like a young woman trying to sound old.

Everything was FINE before!  Everything FIT!  Now, I feel like I'm playing a game made by Disney.  You're starting to destroy the genuine feel of the game.

I beg of you:

Just focus on making awesome classes, areas and monsters.

The music, voices and animations were fine.  Don't change ANYTHING more!!!!

And if you can, restore the music, voices and animations to where they were in March.  I've been suffering for three months now, and it hurts.

I know you're trying.  I just don't want to suffer anymore.  I'm tried of muting the music and now the sounds.  I might have to find a new game.  I guess it happens to us all.

Peace!

A lot of this started with the reboot.  For months we heard that they were rebalancing the classes. Good.  But then they reskinned NPCs and added the new appearances as existing class options, and new classes don't even have the old options.

Then the (inescapable) cut-scenes and added voice acting - which often clashes with the established NPC's character.  And add the trashed music selection (the music itself is great, but the context-appropriateness has been lost), walking (not even just the walking itself, but the controls around it, as many have pointed out), and the old LoD issues.

Now the redone "tutorial", which apparently (I haven't done it yet) is the no-exit repeat from hell.  And the redone Balenos questline which shakes up established characterizations even more and overtunes the early bosses.

It's not all bad, and I do prefer that games keep the artistic vision of their creators instead of bowing to the whims of their playerbase (even though there are good suggestions there all the time, some of which should be respected).  But the vision lately has been muddied at best.

Maybe the muddiness is because this is a transition period - ?  If so, I can't say I like where it appears to be heading.  They are losing their market differentiation, little by little.  Sacrificing it for what, I wonder?

Much less effort in events, decreasing quality in the balls, ...

Plenty of QoL though, so, on balance?  And more high-end gaming attention, spreading out of the players in regions.  Taking looks at old content...

So I don't know.  I don't like some recent changes, I like a lot of others.  Defnitely sticking around to see where all this is going.

I have to say, that Shai abusing the poor Giant.... it's a classic that has to stay!

I am glad they get evenings off, but at first, I thought they had gotten rid of those two!

Tiny details and seemingly unimportant things bring this world to life in such a way that few other games do.  It makes me want to stay in this game, in this world!

They broke everything with the music, now it has nothing to do with the current atmosphere of the game or the area or anything else..
And seeing how stubborn as hell they are... they're gonna know, like the "r" key and the story quest, that now players are cutting their music and all they're gonna do is force us again by turning the disable option...
